Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 22. I will then introduce you to my special guests for the day - Rex and Karen Roney. Rex recently completed 3rd year Global Training at Charis Bible College, while Karen graduated 2nd year at Charis. On today's podcast Rex and Karen both share their verse of the day from Proverb 22. Karen will then go into depth about how she has grown in 2nd year (primary through her IAG classes - Inter-active groups). In these classes Karen learned how to share numerous topics found in the Bible either through preparation or through impromptu teachings). Rex describes his growth through the Global Training program. He then goes on to explain the call of God on their lives, and how they are making plans to go on a missionary trip later this year - by joining a team scheduled to go to the country of Miramar (also called Burma). This country is located between the mainland of China and India. They have graciously accepted the invitation to regular contributors to this podcast - but they will now be doing it as a couple.

[00:00:21] In prayer, Father God I thank you for anyone listening to this podcast today. Lord I pray that you give everyone ears to hear and a heart to receive everything you have in store for them through this particular podcast. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
[00:00:39] This is Proverb 22 beginning in verse 1.
[00:00:44] A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather than silver and gold. The rich and the poor have this in common. The Lord is the maker of them all.
[00:00:59] A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished. By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life.
[00:01:15] Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse. He who guards his soul will be far from them.
[00:01:23] Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. The rich rules over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender.
[00:01:36] He who sows iniquity will reap sorrow and the rod of his anger will fail. He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor.
[00:01:51] Cast out the scoffer and contention will leave. Yes, strife and reproach will cease.
[00:02:01] He who loves purity of heart and has grace on his lips, the king will be his friend.
[00:02:09] The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge, but he overthrows the words of the faithless.
[00:02:15] The lazy man says, there is a lion outside. I shall be slain in the streets.
[00:02:24] The mouth of an immoral woman is a deep pit. He who is abhorred by the Lord will fall there.
[00:02:34] Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child. The rod of correction will drive it far from him.
[00:02:41] He who oppresses the poor to increase his riches, and he who gives to the rich will surely come to poverty.
[00:02:53] Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my knowledge,
[00:03:00] for it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you.
[00:03:04] Let them all be fixed upon your lips, so that your trust may be in the Lord.
[00:03:12] I have instructed you today, even you.
[00:03:17] Have I not written to you excellent things of counsels and knowledge,
[00:03:23] that I may make you know the certainty of the words of truth,
[00:03:28] that you may answer words of truth to those who send to you?
[00:03:33] Do not rob the poor, because he is poor, nor oppress the afflicted at the gate,
[00:03:41] for the Lord will plead their cause, and plunder the soul of those who plunder them.
[00:03:49] Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go,
[00:03:56] lest you learn his ways and set a snare for your soul.
[00:04:01] Do not be one of those who shakes hands in a pledge,
[00:04:06] one of those who is surety for debts, if you have nothing with which to pay.
[00:04:12] Why should he take away your bed from under you?
[00:04:16] Do not remove the ancient landmark which your fathers have set.
[00:04:22] Do you see a man who excels in his work?
[00:04:26] He will stand before kings.
[00:04:29] He will not stand before unknown men.
[00:04:33] All right, friends, I have a special treat for you today.
[00:04:36] I have Rex and Karen Roney.
[00:04:39] And friends, we just got done reading Proverbs 22,
[00:04:44] one of my favorite proverbs.
[00:04:46] And this proverb actually literally almost any verse you could pick.
[00:04:50] But Rex, which verse spoke to you today that you'd like to share with the audience?
[00:04:56] Yeah, hi, Bill.
[00:04:57] So good to be with you.
[00:04:58] It's verse 17, which says,
[00:05:00] Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise,
[00:05:04] and apply your heart to my knowledge.
[00:05:07] I really like that.
[00:05:09] It really reminds me, I think,
[00:05:11] who we are as New Testament believers in Colossians chapter 2,
[00:05:17] where it says that in whom,
[00:05:20] that is God,
[00:05:21] he's talking about God,
[00:05:23] both the Father and of Christ,
[00:05:25] in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
[00:05:29] So inclining our ear and hearing the words of the wise
[00:05:33] is our ever-ending pursuit of Jesus,
[00:05:36] and who is the treasure of wisdom and knowledge.
[00:05:39] And we're not just to hear those words,
[00:05:41] but to really to do it.
[00:05:42] And that's the application of applying our hearts to that knowledge.
[00:05:46] And as a New Testament believer,
[00:05:48] as Christians,
[00:05:50] the spirit part of us has that knowledge already.
[00:05:53] And so we just need to understand it and draw it out for our application.
[00:05:57] Wow, that's so good.
[00:05:58] And, you know,
[00:05:59] what you just mentioned is James chapter 1,
[00:06:03] verse 21, 22,
[00:06:05] be ye doers of the word and not hearers only.
[00:06:09] Rex, that's one of the mistakes
[00:06:10] many, many Christians do,
[00:06:12] is they'll go and they'll hear a good message at church on Sunday,
[00:06:15] and they don't do anything with it.
[00:06:18] And that's the only way we're really going to grow
[00:06:20] as Christians, Rex,
[00:06:22] is to actually literally do,
[00:06:24] and not only do,
[00:06:26] but actually change our hearts
[00:06:29] as we become closer and closer to God.
[00:06:32] So Kerry, what I'd like to do
[00:06:34] is hear what your verse is for the day,
[00:06:36] and please share with the audience
[00:06:38] why you selected that verse.
[00:06:41] Okay, he who loves purity of heart.
[00:06:45] Let me get it.
[00:06:49] Okay, I'm sorry, verse 11.
[00:06:50] He who loves purity of heart
[00:06:52] and whose speech is gracious,
[00:06:54] the king is his friend.
[00:06:56] And I look at that,
[00:06:58] and I look at the king,
[00:07:00] the king is,
[00:07:00] the Lord's been speaking to me about kingdom lately.
[00:07:03] And so we've got,
[00:07:04] Jesus is our king,
[00:07:06] he's the king of the kingdom.
[00:07:09] And he who loves purity of heart,
[00:07:12] he looks at us when we look through,
[00:07:15] I've been reading through Matthew recently
[00:07:17] and reading about the kingdom.
[00:07:19] And one of the issues that Jesus deals with a lot there
[00:07:22] is the heart issues.
[00:07:23] He's dealing with the Pharisees,
[00:07:24] and he's talking about to the common folk,
[00:07:27] the multitudes.
[00:07:28] And he's showing them that it's not so much
[00:07:32] what the outward doing that they do,
[00:07:35] but the purity of their heart.
[00:07:36] And here in this,
[00:07:37] in Proverbs 22, 11,
[00:07:38] he who loves purity of heart
[00:07:40] and whose speech is gracious,
[00:07:41] the king is his friend.
[00:07:43] And that just brings me back to that,
[00:07:45] that Jesus,
[00:07:48] the thing that he looks at is the heart.
[00:07:52] And it's interesting here too,
[00:07:54] that the king is his friend.
[00:07:55] Here we've got a king,
[00:07:57] the king of the kingdom,
[00:07:58] yet can be our friend.
[00:07:59] That shows the relationship that we have
[00:08:01] with the Lord Jesus,
[00:08:03] that that's a friend relationship.
[00:08:05] And when we're in his kingdom,
[00:08:06] when he's our king and we're in his kingdom,
[00:08:08] he's looking at the heart.
[00:08:09] Not always all the things that we do right,
[00:08:12] that we do wrong,
[00:08:13] but he's looking at the heart
[00:08:14] and where we're at
[00:08:15] and where we're going with him
[00:08:17] and that relationship with him.
[00:08:19] Wow, you know,
[00:08:20] and that is so good, Karen.
[00:08:22] You know, I'm going to go to John's gospel
[00:08:24] and I can't really pick out the chapter.
[00:08:26] I'm guessing either 17 or 18,
[00:08:28] but the disciples came to Jesus
[00:08:31] and Jesus sat there and he goes,
[00:08:32] you will no longer call me master,
[00:08:35] but you will call me friend.
[00:08:38] And that is such a significant point, Karen.
[00:08:41] Because a lot of people don't imagine
[00:08:45] being so close to Jesus that he would do that
[00:08:49] and that we can literally call him friend.
[00:08:52] But let's go straight to the book of Revelation.
[00:08:56] Chapter three, verse 20.
[00:08:58] And Jesus says,
[00:08:59] I stand at the door and knock
[00:09:02] and him who lets me in,
[00:09:04] I love this.
[00:09:06] I will come in and dine with him.
[00:09:10] Friends, if you are listening today,
[00:09:13] that is what Jesus wants from every one of us.
[00:09:16] He wants to come in and literally dine with us.
[00:09:20] I think that's awesome.
[00:09:22] Karen and Rex,
[00:09:24] thank you for joining me again.
[00:09:26] Before we begin,
[00:09:27] before we continue,
[00:09:28] what I'd like to do is address the audience
[00:09:30] and let you know that Rex and Karen
[00:09:33] are repeating guests.
[00:09:34] And Rex originally was on,
[00:09:37] on episode number 372.
[00:09:41] Now that aired on September 5th of 23.
[00:09:47] Karen followed right after Thanksgiving last year.
[00:09:51] The actual day that your particular testimony
[00:09:55] published and aired was November 28th.
[00:09:58] And that episode was 432.
[00:10:04] But Karen and Rex,
[00:10:05] you guys know that at the time
[00:10:08] when I was going to Keras,
[00:10:09] I was months ahead.
[00:10:12] So Rex,
[00:10:13] when I talked to you,
[00:10:14] it was probably January of 2023
[00:10:17] when we actually did this podcast
[00:10:20] the first time.
[00:10:21] So it's been almost 21 months,
[00:10:24] Rex.
[00:10:24] So we have a lot of catching up to do.
[00:10:27] And what I'd like to do is begin with you
[00:10:29] because you graduated with me second year,
[00:10:33] last year,
[00:10:34] May of 13th of 2023.
[00:10:37] But you have since gone on
[00:10:39] and gone to third year.
[00:10:42] And I believe you were in global training,
[00:10:45] global ministry.
[00:10:46] And what I'd like for you to do
[00:10:48] is share with the audience
[00:10:50] your takeaways from third year global training.
[00:10:55] Wow, that's great.
[00:10:56] There's so much has happened.
[00:10:58] And it's just a more of a transformation
[00:11:00] of what that I've really pursued in my life.
[00:11:05] I knew there was just so much more
[00:11:08] that God, you know,
[00:11:10] it's so it's incomprehensible
[00:11:13] what he what he how he values us
[00:11:17] and he values me.
[00:11:19] I just consider myself a pretty average guy.
[00:11:23] I really am an average person
[00:11:26] and that for pursuing God
[00:11:28] and his purpose for my life.
[00:11:30] And and he he led us to missions,
[00:11:33] which we never thought we would do
[00:11:35] when we came to Keras.
[00:11:37] But he has this way of just
[00:11:39] working on our hearts
[00:11:41] and guidance where he wants to use us.
[00:11:43] And and just learning
[00:11:46] has been so much fun
[00:11:48] to be able to do that
[00:11:49] and learn about all the
[00:11:51] the global training class was was intense.
[00:11:55] It's the most intense, I think,
[00:11:58] of all the third year courses there are.
[00:12:01] And so I also added another course
[00:12:03] in the afternoons called Healing Disciple
[00:12:07] Discipleship.
[00:12:08] And it was really revealing
[00:12:11] just learn about who we are in Jesus
[00:12:15] and what he has wanted us to.
[00:12:17] Well, he wants us to do his works that he has.
[00:12:20] And by him living in us,
[00:12:22] it's he is doing the works through us
[00:12:25] and learning to be able to be used by him,
[00:12:29] be in a position
[00:12:30] to be able to do what he is expects us to do.
[00:12:35] It's it's just a tremendous
[00:12:37] into humbling ourselves
[00:12:39] to know that we can just be
[00:12:41] who we are in Christ.
[00:12:44] And just, yeah, I feel like
[00:12:46] what I'm going to be
[00:12:47] as a front row participant
[00:12:48] in seeing the things of God.
[00:12:50] And I just get in on it
[00:12:52] because it's really him
[00:12:54] that does the works in us.
[00:12:55] OK, you know, I'm going to stop you right there
[00:12:58] because I'm going to go back
[00:12:59] to your previous testimony.
[00:13:01] And of course, that was on September 5th.
[00:13:03] But what what what you're really saying, Rex,
[00:13:06] at that time, you were saying
[00:13:08] when you and Karen initially embarked
[00:13:10] to go to Woodland Park, Colorado,
[00:13:12] at the time, your goal
[00:13:15] was basically just to go to Keras
[00:13:19] and then come back to Kansas
[00:13:22] where you were and basically
[00:13:23] just help out the pastor,
[00:13:26] help out do this
[00:13:27] and be in the helps ministry.
[00:13:30] But what I'm hearing you say
[00:13:32] is now you feel led
[00:13:34] to be one of the fivefold ministry.
[00:13:37] And if we go to the fourth chapter
[00:13:39] of Ephesians, it says,
[00:13:40] but God has called some of us
[00:13:42] to be apostles,
[00:13:44] some to be evangelists,
[00:13:46] some prophets,
[00:13:49] some teachers and some pastors.
[00:13:51] Am I hearing you correctly
[00:13:52] that you feel that you're going
[00:13:54] to be a leader in that fivefold ministry?
[00:13:57] Well, yeah, I think I guess
[00:14:00] you might put it that we know
[00:14:01] it's going to be much more.
[00:14:03] And only because I found out more
[00:14:05] what Jesus expects from his body.
[00:14:08] We're just a member of his body,
[00:14:09] but he told his disciples
[00:14:11] what he expected out of them.
[00:14:14] And I consider myself a disciple.
[00:14:17] He says, you're going to be doing
[00:14:18] the things that I'm going to be doing.
[00:14:20] And then he says,
[00:14:22] Lo, I'll be with you always
[00:14:23] until the end of the age.
[00:14:25] And so I know that
[00:14:26] what we've done
[00:14:28] is kind of radical in the way.
[00:14:29] We sold everything.
[00:14:30] We went to Karis.
[00:14:32] We put all our belongings in storage.
[00:14:34] And we don't even have a home now.
[00:14:36] And for the past,
[00:14:37] since we left Karis last May,
[00:14:39] we've been living out
[00:14:40] of a camping trailer
[00:14:41] because we anticipate this November
[00:14:44] going to Myanmar,
[00:14:46] also called Burma.
[00:14:47] It's a country in Asia
[00:14:48] in between China and India.
[00:14:50] And Dora has opened up for us
[00:14:52] to go there to serve
[00:14:54] and support another ministry
[00:14:55] in that area.
[00:14:57] And so I know I'm going to have
[00:14:59] an opportunity to stand in churches
[00:15:01] and be able to preach
[00:15:03] and teach the gospel.
[00:15:04] We're going to start a school
[00:15:06] for elementary students
[00:15:08] and also a discipleship school.
[00:15:11] But what's been going on
[00:15:13] in Myanmar for the past?
[00:15:15] Well, recently,
[00:15:16] they've had civil war going on here
[00:15:18] for quite some time.
[00:15:20] They're ruled by a military dictatorship.
[00:15:23] And now the fighting has intensified
[00:15:26] in the past 10 months.
[00:15:29] And the rebels are pushing back.
[00:15:31] And it looks to me
[00:15:33] that they're going to be overthrown.
[00:15:35] And when it happens,
[00:15:36] the whole country is going to be free
[00:15:38] and wide open for the gospel,
[00:15:43] no strings.
[00:15:44] And so we're going in at a time,
[00:15:47] I feel like it's a perfect time
[00:15:48] for we'll be able to do what?
[00:15:51] No restrictions.
[00:15:53] Open crusades.
[00:15:56] Preaching and teaching at churches.
[00:15:58] Starting schools.
[00:16:00] Preparing, raising up disciples
[00:16:01] in that country
[00:16:03] so that they can take the gospel
[00:16:05] to the nation
[00:16:07] and the surrounding nation.
[00:16:08] So it's so exciting
[00:16:10] what God's going to be just to do,
[00:16:12] just simple people.
[00:16:14] Jesus can use ordinary,
[00:16:17] simple people
[00:16:18] to do what He wants to do.
[00:16:20] And we're just trying to find out
[00:16:21] all what He wants to do.
[00:16:23] And we're going to be a part of that.
[00:16:24] Well, that's so good.
[00:16:25] And I'm going to stop you right there
[00:16:27] before I get to Karen.
[00:16:28] But, you know,
[00:16:29] the Lord has been impressing upon me.
[00:16:32] First Corinthians chapter 6, verse 20.
[00:16:35] And Karen, you made reference to this
[00:16:38] on your previous podcast
[00:16:39] is you were starting to read a verse
[00:16:42] and you said it started with and,
[00:16:44] which was a conjunction,
[00:16:46] meaning you had to go back.
[00:16:47] So I'm going to do that
[00:16:49] with the sixth chapter of Romans.
[00:16:52] And we're going to go to verse 18.
[00:16:54] And it says,
[00:16:55] flee sexual immorality.
[00:16:58] Every sin that a man does
[00:17:01] is outside the body,
[00:17:03] but he who commits sexual immorality
[00:17:05] sins against his own body.
[00:17:09] But let's go to verse 19.
[00:17:11] Or do you not know
[00:17:13] that your body is a temple
[00:17:16] of the Holy Spirit
[00:17:18] who is in you,
[00:17:20] whom you have from God,
[00:17:22] and you are not your own?
[00:17:25] For you were bought at a price.
[00:17:29] Therefore, glorify God
[00:17:31] in your body
[00:17:32] and in your spirit,
[00:17:35] which are God's.
[00:17:37] So Karen, with that verse in mind,
[00:17:40] you no longer are your own.
[00:17:42] The last time I had you on,
[00:17:45] you were in first year.
[00:17:46] But over the past,
[00:17:48] since we've met last,
[00:17:51] you had gone to second year.
[00:17:52] And part of second year
[00:17:54] is being in IAGs.
[00:17:56] And what I'd like for you to do
[00:17:58] is just explain to the audience
[00:18:00] how growing in the Lord
[00:18:03] through IAGs
[00:18:04] has matured you
[00:18:07] as a Christian.
[00:18:09] Well, doing IAGs,
[00:18:11] and for those who don't know,
[00:18:13] that's interaction groups
[00:18:14] where you are given topics
[00:18:17] or potentially your testimony
[00:18:20] is just getting you used
[00:18:22] to speaking in front of people.
[00:18:24] And at first,
[00:18:26] I gave my testimony.
[00:18:28] But just to stand up
[00:18:30] in front of people,
[00:18:32] that's not always been
[00:18:33] my favorite thing to do.
[00:18:34] It's nothing that I'm fearful of.
[00:18:36] But just to be able to prepare
[00:18:39] and to prepare on topics
[00:18:41] short-term
[00:18:43] or to do them impromptu,
[00:18:44] that was the challenge.
[00:18:46] So I really grew
[00:18:49] in the sense that
[00:18:49] I realized that I can,
[00:18:52] I can do it.
[00:18:54] And it made me delve
[00:18:56] into some things,
[00:18:58] into topics,
[00:18:59] especially doing the impromptus.
[00:19:01] You had to be ready
[00:19:01] for a multitude of topics
[00:19:03] and you didn't know
[00:19:04] which one you'd be picked for.
[00:19:05] So just having general information.
[00:19:07] And so that really helped me
[00:19:12] with knowing,
[00:19:14] with knowing,
[00:19:15] with going back
[00:19:15] and getting basics
[00:19:16] on some basic information.
[00:19:18] And then I can,
[00:19:19] I could go forward
[00:19:20] and I could just speak on it.
[00:19:23] And it's amazing
[00:19:23] when you're studying it to speak,
[00:19:26] you learn it
[00:19:27] in a whole different way.
[00:19:28] And you're speaking
[00:19:29] to your audience.
[00:19:32] It just,
[00:19:33] it really,
[00:19:34] it really grew me
[00:19:35] on the inside
[00:19:36] to realize
[00:19:36] things like that
[00:19:38] that I can do.
[00:19:39] And that as I minister,
[00:19:41] as I speak,
[00:19:42] that the Holy Ghost
[00:19:42] would give me things
[00:19:43] as I would speak.
[00:19:44] And so that was,
[00:19:46] that was exciting.
[00:19:47] That was exciting.
[00:19:48] Well,
[00:19:49] that's really exciting.
[00:19:50] And I'm going to go back
[00:19:51] to when I was in IEGs.
[00:19:53] And I remember
[00:19:54] when the guy said,
[00:19:55] what do you want
[00:19:56] to talk about?
[00:19:58] And I said,
[00:19:59] whatever you want me
[00:20:00] to talk about,
[00:20:02] bring it on.
[00:20:02] And I challenged him.
[00:20:04] I go,
[00:20:05] give me the hardest you have.
[00:20:07] Because herein,
[00:20:08] what this boils down to
[00:20:10] is 1 Peter 3.15.
[00:20:12] And 1 Peter 3.15 says,
[00:20:15] always be ready
[00:20:16] to give an account
[00:20:18] for the hope
[00:20:19] that is in you.
[00:20:21] We need to be able
[00:20:22] to share our testimony
[00:20:24] at the drop of a hat
[00:20:26] at any moment
[00:20:27] at any time
[00:20:29] with anyone
[00:20:30] that we are talking.
[00:20:31] We need to understand
[00:20:32] all of the topics.
[00:20:33] If there's a question
[00:20:34] they have,
[00:20:35] we need to just
[00:20:36] automatically presume
[00:20:38] we're going to have
[00:20:39] the answer.
[00:20:39] The Bible tells us that,
[00:20:41] that he,
[00:20:41] all things will come
[00:20:43] to our remembrance.
[00:20:46] Karen,
[00:20:46] as you went
[00:20:47] through IEGs,
[00:20:49] did you develop
[00:20:50] that confidence
[00:20:51] that you can do
[00:20:53] what I just mentioned?
[00:20:56] Yes.
[00:20:56] Well,
[00:20:57] let's say I grew
[00:20:58] in that confidence.
[00:20:59] There's still
[00:21:00] some more growing
[00:21:01] to do
[00:21:02] in that area,
[00:21:04] but just growing
[00:21:06] in that confidence
[00:21:07] that I could get up
[00:21:07] and do it.
[00:21:08] And I found out
[00:21:09] that I have a certain
[00:21:11] way of doing it.
[00:21:12] Everybody in the group
[00:21:12] did things
[00:21:13] in different ways.
[00:21:14] and I realized
[00:21:18] how my way
[00:21:20] of doing it,
[00:21:21] my way
[00:21:21] of connecting
[00:21:23] things together.
[00:21:24] And so that was
[00:21:26] very interesting,
[00:21:27] especially,
[00:21:27] it was interesting
[00:21:28] to be in the group
[00:21:28] and to listen
[00:21:29] to everybody's
[00:21:30] different way
[00:21:30] of doing things
[00:21:31] and different
[00:21:32] way of ministering.
[00:21:33] And when you mentioned
[00:21:34] being able to share
[00:21:35] your testimony
[00:21:35] at the drop of a hat,
[00:21:37] sometimes it's only
[00:21:39] a certain part
[00:21:39] of your testimony
[00:21:40] that's relevant
[00:21:42] for the time.
[00:21:43] And so knowing
[00:21:44] what part of that
[00:21:46] is important
[00:21:46] to the person
[00:21:47] you're speaking to
[00:21:48] is important.
[00:21:50] Wow, you know,
[00:21:50] I'm going to bring up
[00:21:51] Revelation 12, 11.
[00:21:53] And Revelation 12, 11
[00:21:56] says,
[00:21:56] and they overcome
[00:21:57] by the blood
[00:21:58] of the Lamb
[00:21:59] and the word
[00:22:00] of their testimony,
[00:22:02] loving not their life
[00:22:04] even unto death.
[00:22:06] And Karen,
[00:22:08] what I say
[00:22:09] is you not only
[00:22:09] need to have
[00:22:10] a testimony,
[00:22:11] but it needs
[00:22:12] to be updated
[00:22:13] on a regular basis.
[00:22:16] Do not live
[00:22:17] on your previous
[00:22:19] testimonies

[00:23:10] to pray with her
[00:23:11] and actually give
[00:23:12] her information

[00:23:15] into because she
[00:23:16] was so interested
[00:23:16] in the fact
[00:23:17] that we were
[00:23:17] willing to pray.

[00:23:20] we've seen that

[00:23:22] just little blessings
[00:23:23] and protections
[00:23:24] that we've had,

[00:33:49] making it
[00:33:49] useful for
[00:33:50] those people
[00:33:50] to hear.
[00:33:52] And to
[00:33:52] be able to
[00:33:53] learn that
[00:33:53] and be able
[00:33:54] to flow
[00:33:54] with the
[00:33:55] spirit has
[00:33:55] been, I've
[00:33:56] never been
[00:33:57] kind of the
[00:33:57] spirit guy,
[00:33:57] I've been a
[00:33:58] word guy,
[00:33:59] but I've
[00:33:59] been learning
[00:34:00] to be
[00:34:00] flexible and
[00:34:01] to be
[00:34:03] adaptable to
[00:34:04] what God
[00:34:05] wants me to
[00:34:05] do and
[00:34:06] listening to
[00:34:06] Holy Spirit
[00:34:08] and really
[00:34:09] submitting myself
[00:34:10] to that
[00:34:12] so that
[00:34:13] we, because
[00:34:15] he's the
[00:34:15] one that
[00:34:15] reaches people.
[00:34:17] It's not
[00:34:17] us, really.
[00:34:18] It's the
[00:34:18] Holy Spirit.
[00:34:20] And you
[00:34:20] look at the
[00:34:21] disciples,
[00:34:22] you know,
[00:34:23] man, I tell
[00:34:23] you what, if
[00:34:24] I looked at
[00:34:25] them through
[00:34:25] man's eyes
[00:34:26] back then
[00:34:26] when they
[00:34:27] were on
[00:34:27] the earth
[00:34:28] with Jesus,

[00:34:30] blunders all
[00:34:31] the time.
[00:34:33] But it's
[00:34:34] something that
[00:34:34] really happened

[00:34:36] Holy Spirit
[00:34:37] came.
[00:34:38] They just
[00:34:39] did extraordinary
[00:34:39] things you
[00:34:40] never thought
[00:34:41] they could
[00:34:41] ever do
[00:34:43] when they
[00:34:43] were with
[00:34:44] Jesus.
[00:34:44] And this
[00:34:45] was when
[00:34:45] Jesus went
[00:34:46] away, but
[00:34:47] the Holy
[00:34:47] Spirit came
[00:34:48] and powered
[00:34:48] them to
[00:34:50] do what
[00:34:51] he called

[00:34:53] Holy Spirit

[00:34:54] to do that
[00:34:55] with anybody
