Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 25. I will then key in on verse 23 - The north wind brings forth rain, And a backbiting tongue an angry countenance. On today's podcast we will continue our study on the Book of Job. Today we will be taking a close look at Chapter #37. This is the last chapter in which Elihu is the narrator. Upon completion of this podcast there are three points that I would like for you to consider:
1. God is still speaking to us today (1 Kings 19:11-13)
2. God controls the elements of this world (Psalm 65:7)
3. We cannot look directly at the sun (Exodus 34:29-33)
Going back to our verse of the day, I looked up the word backbiting. It means malicious talk about someone who is not present. Friends, this would be gossip. Nothing good comes from gossip and we should avoid it if at all possible.
Call to Action - Ask yourself this question - Do I hear from God (or the Holy Spirit?). God can speak to us through His Word (the Holy Bible), through our spouse, our children, our parents, our grandchildren, our grandparents, our bosses, or through everyday circumstances in our lives. We need to be open to the fact that He desires to speak to His children.
