Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 15. I will then key in on verse 3 - The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good. Friends, God is watching every thing we do - whether we are doing good or whether we are doing bad. As Christians, this should be a comfort for us. If we are NOT Christians, this should be sobering. On today's podcast, I will reveal a bit more of my personal testimony. On the December 1st podcast, I shared how I became a teacher (I invite you to listen to that podcast prior to listening to this). Today, I will share a few details of my life since becoming a teacher. The main points that I would like to bring up on today's podcast are these:
1. Our words are so vitally important - thus, we should think carefully about the words we are going to say prior to saying them.
2. Sharing our testimony is more important than you may think. Many people downplay their lives and the importance of their life in our world today. I am here to tell you that your testimony can be the encouragement someone that you may know needs to hear today.
3. Reading is one of the most important things that we can do. I often hear people say that they don't like to read (or that they never read). My perspective is that reading is knowledge; and knowledge is power. Make a point to read at least 15 minutes a day.
Call to Action - Do you live your life through this lens - do I make the lives of the people around me better? - if you answer no to that question, I invite you to begin to live life through that "lens."
