Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 7. I will then key in on verses 1-4. Today we will continue our study on the Book of Job. We will be taking at in-depth look at Chapter 20. In this chapter, Zophar, one of Job's three friends talks about the Wicked Man. Friends, this reminds me of Proverb 6, verses 12-15 (please read these verses at your leisure). By the time we read this chapter I would like for you to consider three points:
1. Zophar confronts Job's confidence - yesterday, Job made the declaration that "My Redeemer Livith" - (Job 19:25). Zophar suggests that if Job really understood this that he would be aware that eventually people who are wicked would be judged.
2. The wicked will be judged (this point goes along with point 1). As we read the entirety of this chapter we understand that God is watching us all (the evil and the good alike). For those choosing to do evil, eventually they will be brought down.
3. We are to put our trust in God. We all will come to points in our life where we will either choose to do this - or continuing to have questions and struggle with our everyday lives
In verses 1-4 of Proverb 7, the invitation is given to put our trust in the living God. We are to keep His commands. If we do this (on a regular basis) I believe and declare that our life will immediately begin to go better for us.
