Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 29. I will then key in on verse 25 - The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. Friends, we are going to pause from our study of the Book of Job today & tomorrow. The Holy Spirit has asked that I remind everyone of how much God truly loves each one of us. I will go over John 3: 16 & read a passage from the Epistle of Ephesians Chapter 3 & read verses 14-21. These verses tell us about the love of God. I can not overstate how important having this knowledge is. Today we are going to read the account of the woman caught in the act of adultery (John 8: 1-12). The Pharisees came to Jesus and wanted to stone this woman. Jesus saw through their hate & confounded them with His wisdom. By the end of the account, all her accusers have walked away and she is left all alone with Jesus. Jesus tells her that He does not condemn her, but makes it clear she is to sin no more. Jesus does not condone sin - although He forgives us of all of our sins. If we knowingly sin, we need to repent, and turn from our sins. Prior to closing this podcast I go back to verse 25 & talk about the fear of man - and that we should not concern ourselves with what people think (or say) about us. We should concern ourselves with pleasing the Father (God).
