Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 22. I will then key in on verse 17 - Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, And apply your heart to my knowledge. Friends, this verse reminds me of the man that we are currently studying - Job. Today we will be looking at Chapter 16. After completion of this chapter I will bring up three points that I'd like for you to consider:
1. Job rebukes his friends. Job is upset with his friends - that they have come to him with wisdom and trying to give him advise. He lets them know that if what happened to him had happened to them that he would NOT have given them advice, but that he would have consoled them.
2. satan will come after you - satan is real. He comes but to steal, to kill, and to destroy. He is relentless and will continue to come after you until you relent to his evil ways. If you are submitted to God, and resist him, he will flee from you (James 4:6-7
3. Job cries out to God - as should we - when we have something going in our life that throws us a bit of a curve ball.
Call to Action: Ponder the life of Job - what happened to him (and how he responded). His example is something that we can learn a lot from.
