Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 17. I will then key in on verse 8 - A present is a precious stone in the eyes of its possessor; Wherever he turns, he prospers. Friends, today, I am going to talk about the gift of life. Life is a gift. We are only given one life, and must take advantage of it to, hopefully, fulfill the purpose that God put you on this earth. Back in 1968, I was a foolish young 11-year old boy - that could often be quite lazy. One day, after school, I approached a stop sign and (not hearing a car) decided to go through the Stop sign without stopping. Unfortunately, on this day, a vehicle going approximately 70 miles per hour hit me on my bike. I was flying through the air and hit the windshield of an oncoming van. I was rushed to the hospital, only to find out that I was in such bad shape this hospital would not accept me as a patient. I was driven in an ambulance 12 miles to the hospital in the town below us on the map. My condition became ever more grave to the point that I stopped breathing. The doctors did all they could do to revive me, but my heart stopped. They declared me dead and told my parents. Yet, God had mercy on me. At some point, my heart began beating again, and here I am 60 years later, still breathing and in good health.
Call to Action - If you have anything going on in your life that needs God's intervention, please call upon Him, and I believe He will hear your prayer
