Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 16. I will then key in on verse 19 - Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud. Friends, the Bible tells us that God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble. We are to put our trust in Jesus. One person in the Bible who was humble before his God was a man named Job. On today's podcast I will give you a preview of the Book of Job. We will begin a study on this book and will be in this book the next three to four months. Job is an interesting book. Job, in all likelihood, lived on this earth about the same time as Abraham. the Bible tells us that he was blameless and upright - meaning he lived life with integrity and was very concerned with avoiding evil at all costs. Call to Action - Ask yourself if you are living the righteous life? Is there anything (at all) in your life that you feel that you need to change (either because your spouse, your children, your employer, or your dearest friends have brought something to your attention?)
