Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 23. We will take a closer look at verse 12. I will introduce you to Rebekah, the mother of Jacob, and the wife of Isaac. We will read her story in Genesis Chapter 25: 19-28. We will go over a plausible explanation of why she had her son, Jacob deceive her husband, Isaac, into giving the blessing to Jacob instead of the older son, Esau. We will go over the blessing that Isaac spoke over Jacob - found in Genesis Chapter 27: 24-29. I will cover three thoughts of this lessons: 1. God's timetable may not be the same as your timetable; 2. It is good to seek God in prayer; and 3. God is not a respecter of persons. We will go over 2nd Peter: 3:8 as well, which states that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
