Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 9. I will then key in on verse 9 - Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. Friends, one attribute about someone that is wise is that they wish to be wiser. They continue and have a desire to become yet wiser. Also, the righteous man - or one who makes right decisions (and says the right words) continues to learn as well. It is when we think we know it all (and stop learning) that we begin a downward spiral. Today we will close out our study of the Book of Exodus. We will go over four things as we take a closer look at Chapter 40: 1. The Tabernacle was erected and arranged (I will read verses 1-16). God was very specific in how he wanted the tabernacle to be set up. 2. The Glory of the Lord filled the Temple - after the Israelites did all that God had asked them to do, He took up residence inside the Tabernacle and filled it with His glory!; 3. What Exodus shows us is that God is perfect and He is Holy; and 4. to sum up the entire Book of Exodus please consider these five things: a. God had saved His people (prior to the Exodus, the Israelites had been in Egyptian bondage for 430 years; b. God provided for them - when they ran out of water, He provided water for them; for food He provided manna for the entire 40 years that they were in the wilderness; their clothes never wore out, nor did their shoes; c. God made a covenant with His people - He wanted His people to follow Him; d. He taught them how to live (by giving them the 10 Commandments and the Book of the Law); e. Finally, He lived with them in a cloud by day and a fire by night. CALL to ACTION - a. Have an attitude of gratitude (be thankful & aware of all that you have and what God has provided for you; b. look for opportunities to pay compliments to people (even if people are having a good day, you can make it better)!; c. look for opportunities to lend a helping hand to anyone who looks like they could use it.
