Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will go over Proverb 1. I will then key in on verse 1-2 (NLT) - These are the proverbs of Solomon, David's son, king of Israel. Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise. My prayer over anyone listening to today's podcast is that you will desire and seek wisdom for your life and to use that wisdom when making decisions in your everyday life. Today we will continue our study on the Book of Exodus. Today I will go over three points that I would like for you to consider: 1. God commands the Israelites to leave Mt. Sinai - (Read verses 1-3). Moses is now very upset with the Israelites and tells Moses says that He will not be going with the Israelites. 2. Moses meets with the Lord (read verses 7-10) Moses sets up a tent and calls it the tabernacle. This is where he meets with God and once again intervenes for the Israelites. 3. God promises He will go with them (read verses 15-23). Because Moses had once again intervened for the Israelites, God agrees to go with the Israelites as they journey to the Promises Land. CALL to ACTION - I ask that you pray to God and ask Him to reveal to you if there is anything that is in your life that you need to change in your life and have Him reveal it to you. Suggested scripture reading: 1. Reread the 33rd chapter of the Book of Exodus; 2. Read Psalm 91; reread the proverb of the day, Proverb 1 in its entirety (as this is the foundational chapter of Proverbs and sets the stage for the next 30 chapters.
