Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then key in on verses 16-19 - There are six things the Lord hates - no, seven things her detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family. Friends, if the Lords hates something, we should learn to hate it as well. Take a good look at this list, and refrain from doing any of the things listed - as YOU hate each of these things! I am going to close the week by reading one of my favorite stories in the Bible - the story of Nebuchadnessar's gold statue - found in the third chapter of the Book of Daniel. I will read this chapter in its entirety. I will then remind everyone listening that this is the same God that we can serve today - should we choose to. In addition, we are to celebrate his son, Jesus, and welcome the Holy Spirit, who now resides in each and every person who has received Jesus into their heart. CALL to ACTION - pay a compliment or do a good deed to someone today (whether it be a neighbor, a friend, a fellow worker, or a family member). Suggested scripture reading - 1 reread the 3rd chapter of the Book of Daniel; 2. reread the 11th chapter of the Book of Hebrews; 3. reread our proverb of the day, Proverb 6 in its entirety.
