Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 22. I will then key in on verse 2 - The rich and the poor have this in common, The Lord is the maker of them all. I will then also mention Romans 2:11 - which states that God is NOT a respecter of persons. Friends, God loves each and every one of us - whether we are rich or poor, young or old, man or female, etc. So - this verse tells me we have the choice whether we are going to be poor or rich. We are very fortunate to live in the United States of America. For centuries - ever since this nation was founded in 1776, people have come from around the world to the "Land of Opportunity." If you choose you can become whatever you want to become in this great land of ours. If you apply yourself, and are willing to work hard, you can become whatever you want to become. We will then continue our current study on the Book of Exodus. Today our focus will be on Chapter #11. In this chapter I am going to bring up three points that I would like for you to consider: 1. God is going to bless the Children of Israel -(I will read verses 2 & 3 of Chapter 11); God had Moses ask the Egyptians for articles of gold, and silver, and any other objects of value which their neighbors had. The Egyptians had so much fear of Moses and the Israelite people that the Egyptians gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So, many of them will leave the land of Egypt as wealthy people. 2. Moses prophesies the final plague. I will read verses 4-7 of Chapter #11. These verses tell us that the firstborn of every family in the land of Egypt (as well as the firstborn of all animals) will die. 3. Moses prophesies that the Egyptians will beg the Israelites to leave the land of Egypt.
