Lessons From the Psalms - Psalm 139

Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 139. Psalm 139 is one of my favorite psalms. It was written my King David of Israel and this psalm vividly describes the intimate relationship that David has with God. As I read this psalm ( if possible) I ask that you close your eyes and meditate of this very intimate psalm. By the end of this psalm there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. You have searched my and known me (Friends, God knows you intimately - better than you know yourself. Always remember that. Many people live their lives feeling isolated and lonely (know - that if you receive Jesus as your Lord and risen Savior that He is always with you).
2. For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb - friends, you were created by God (and thus He knows everything about you - including your body parts)
3. Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts. (Friends, I long to have a close relationship with God that I can utter that same prayer. God is (or can be) as close to you as you allow Him to get. Search for Him, and you will find Him).
