Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 11. I will then key in on verse 14 - Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. Friends, it is very important that, once you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior that you meet at least one person (preferably two or three) that you can go to when issues in life come our way. Someone that you can pray with, and share your innermost thoughts. If we are all alone, we open the door for satan to make an inroad into our lives. We are to avoid that happening in any way we can. Today, I will be closing out my study on the beloved disciple, John. If you did not get a chance to listen to either Monday's or Wednesday's podcast, I invite you to listen to those. Today we will be reading four passages from the Book of Revelation. John wrote this last book of the Bible around the year 95 AD, over 60 years after the crucafiction of Jesus. Some estimate John was around 90 years old when this book was written from the Island of Patmos. We will begin in Chapter 1: verse 9-11. In these verses John actually sees a "vision" of Jesus. Jesus tells John to write down the vision which he is presently seeing and what will happen in the next few days. In Chapter 3: verses 14-21 Jesus warns the church that we need to maintain our "fire" for God. We need to avoid become comfortable in our Christian lives and that we remain eager to always share how Jesus has changed our lives. In Chapter 19: verse 11-16, we see Jesus on a white horse. These verses declare that Jesus is the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Friends, we are kings, and we are lords. Let us always walk in that knowledge and live our lives accordingly! Finally, I will close with the last chapter of the Bible, Chapter 22: verse 12-17. Jesus is inviting us once again to ask Him to enter our lives and renew our commitment to Him.
