Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 25. I will then key in on verse 17 - Seldom set foot in your neighbor's house, Lest he become weary of you and hate you. Friends, this verse is all about moderation. I believe if you get in a habit of doing things in moderation things will, in general, go well with you. It is, when we try to overstep our bounds, or take advantage of people, that we can outwear our welcome. Today we will continue our study on the Book of Exodus. Today we will be reading about the covenant that God made with Moses and the Israelites as a whole on Mount Sinai. I will read this chapter in its entirety and made several comments to clarify the text of the chapter. CALL to ACTION - I am asking that you continue living with "an attitude of gratitude." I'm asking you to make this a mantra for this new year and that you basically live your life being thankful for all of the things God has given you. If you walk in this way, it will be very easy for you to do two things: 1. be quick to give compliments to anyone that crosses your path that looks like they could use an encouraging word; 2. Look for opportunities to lend a helping hand (once again, this could be for anyone - a neighbor, a friend, a co-worker, a family member, or someone you may not even know. In the book to the Galatians, Paul tells us that we will reap what we sow. If we get in a habit of paying compliments to people and helping people whenever the need arises, I believe and declare that these things will come back onto you. Suggested scripture reading for the day: 1. Reread Chapter #24 of the Book of Exodus; 2. Read the 23rd Psalm; 3. Reread our proverb of the day, Proverb 25, in its entirety.
