199. The Israelites worship and praise their God - January 5, 2023

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley.  Today we will be going over Proverb 5.  I will then key in on verse 18 - Let your fountain be blessed, And rejoice in the wife of your youth.  Although this is written specifically to men and ask us to rejoice in the wife of your youth - I am going to ask both men and women (who are married) to purpose in their heart right now - as we are beginning a brand new year) that you will have the best year of your married life this year.  I pray that you are intentional about this.  I pray that you put your spouse a place of honor above any other human being (including children).  Today, we will continue our study on the book of Exodus.  Today we will go over two points: 1. The Israelites worship and sing praises to their God - after watching their God bring them out of Egypt and watching every single member of the Egyptian army die in front of their eyes, the Israelites have nothing but praise for God.  We will read verse 1-13 and celebrate with the Israelites what the Lord has done for them. 2.  The Lord provides water for the Israelites.  After three days in the wilderness the Israelites are in need of water and begin to complain to Moses.  They have no water, and when they find water, it is bitter, and they cannot drink it.  God provides a way for the water to become sweet to drink and smiles are once again on the face of the Israelites.  CALL TO ACTION - pay a compliment or lend a helping hand to anyone who appears to have need of a kind word, or has a need of assistance in any area.  Suggested scripture reading: 1.  Please reread the 15th chapter of the Book of Exodus in its entirety; if you are willing to read a second chapter, please continue reading the 11th chapter of the Book of Hebrews; and if you are purposeful enough to read a third chapter, please read our proverb of the day, Proverb 5 in its entirety.
