178. Moses did NOT want to lead his people - December 7, 2022

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley.  Today we will be reading Proverb 7.  I will then key in on verse 27 - Her house is the way to hell, Descending to the chambers of death.  I cannot overemphasize enough how important it is to set up safeguards in your life to help you avoid falling into temptation.  Many people that felt they could not fall into temptation in this area have had their lives ruined because they submitted to that temptation.  Today we will continue our study on the book of Exodus.  We will be looking at Chapter 4 today.  Three things I would like for you to consider are these:  1.  Moses doubted his ability to lead his people.  We will read the first 5 verses of Chapter 4 and see that Moses simply did not feel worthy of leading the Israelite people.  I believe that many people today do not feel worthy either.  I will look at two passages of scripture (Ephesians 4: verses 11 & 12 & 2 Corinthians 3: verses 5 & 6) and see that God has made each of us able ministers and live worthily of the calling God has placed on our lives. 2.  God made Moses leprous.  In order to truly get Moses' attention and show Moses the power that God truly had he made him become leprous.  I can only imagine the thoughts that ran through his mind when this happened.  But, just as quickly as this happened, he was made clean again.  Friends, God is still the same today (see Hebrews 13:8).  What God did for Moses, He can do for you.  3.  Moses once again asks God to use someone (anyone) else.  God ends up relenting and will use Aaron (Moses' brother) as His mouthpiece.
