Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 26. I will then key in on verse 2 - Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a curse without cause shall not alight. Friends, this verse reminds me of Proverb 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those that love it shall eat its fruit. Our words are so powerful. We can bring forth death (or curses) or life with the words we speak. Conversely, we can also have people come against us and say words against us (curse us). These words will not take root unless we give into fear and receive them with our words. On today's podcast we will resume our study on the Book of Job. I will read Chapter 5 in its entirety. After reading the chapter I ask that you consider the following points:
1. Our words are so important.
2. Eliphaz suggest Job had bad things happen in his life because of sin in his life.
3. We need to seek God in prayer in our time of need.
4. Goodwill chastise us. If you put your trust in God, He will sometime chastise you because of something you say or something you do.
5. God will give us a long life.
Call to Action: Where are you in this process? Do you seek God when you have a need?
