669. Back to Baal - October 24, 2024

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 24. I will then key in on both verses 13 & 14 - My son, eat honey because it is good, And the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste; So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul; If you have found it, there is a prospect, And your hope will not be cut off. Friends, where is your mindset? Do you do things because it is the right thing to do (doing things God's way, or do you do things according to your flesh - and what feels good (even if it is clearly not what God would have you to do?).

On today's podcast I will go over an article entitle "Back to Baal." By the end of today's podcast there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Baal was the most important deity in the Canaanite pantheon.

2. God is the only living God.

3. Baal's favor was gained through sympathetic magic in the form of ritual prostitution.

Scripture referenced in today's lesson:

1 Kings 18: 20-40

Call to Action - Again I ask - do you do things because it's the right thing to do (even if it is out of your comfort zone - or do you do things that relate to the flesh (and the five senses) - or what feels good (whether it is right or not?)

[00:00:06] Welcome to Wisdom Today. My name is Bill Kelley and I'll be your host. In this podcast we will be exploring the book of Proverbs.

[00:00:21] Let's open in prayer. Father God, I thank you for anyone listening to this podcast today. Lord, I pray that you give everyone ears to hear and a heart to receive everything you have in store for them today. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

[00:00:38] This is Proverb 24 beginning in verse 1.

[00:01:08] The wise man is strong. Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength. For by wise counsel you will wage your own war. And in a multitude of counselors there is safety. Wisdom is too lofty for a fool. He does not open his mouth in the gate. He who plots to do evil will be called a schemer. The devising of foolishness is sin.

[00:01:37] And the scoffer is an abomination to men. If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Deliver those who are drawn toward death and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, surely we did not know this, does not he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does he not know it?

[00:02:07] And will he not know it? And will he not render to each man according to his deeds? My son, eat honey because it is good. And the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste, so shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul. If you have found it, there is a prospect and your hope will not be cut off.

[00:02:31] Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous. Do not plunder his resting place. For a righteous man will fall seven times and rise again. But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

[00:02:50] Do not rejoice when your heart be glad when he stumbles. Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

[00:03:06] Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the wicked. For there will be no prospect for the evil man. The lamp of the wicked will be put out.

[00:03:20] My son, fear the Lord and the King. Do not associate with those given to change. For their calamity will rise suddenly, and who knows the ruin those two can bring.

[00:03:35] These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to show partiality in judgment. He who says to the wicked,

[00:03:46] You are righteous, him the people will curse. Nations will abhor him, but those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will come upon them.

[00:04:01] He who gives a right answer kisses the lips. Prepare your outside work. Make it fit for yourself in the field, and afterward build your house.

[00:04:16] Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause, for would you deceive with your lips?

[00:04:23] Do not say, I will do to him just as he has done to me. I will render to the man according to his work.

[00:04:34] I went by the field of the lazy man, and by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding.

[00:04:42] And there it was, all overgrown with thorns. Its surface was covered with nettles. Its stone wall was broken down.

[00:04:53] When I saw it, I considered it well. I looked on it and received instruction.

[00:04:59] A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest.

[00:05:06] So shall your poverty come like a prowler, and your need like an armed man.

[00:05:15] Friends, today I'd like to take a closer look at verses 13 and 14.

[00:05:21] And Proverb 24 verses 13 and 14 tell us this.

[00:05:28] My son, eat honey because it is good, and the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste.

[00:05:36] So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul.

[00:05:41] If you have found it, there is a prospect, and your hope will not be cut off.

[00:05:48] Friends, today we will come back and take a closer look at those two verses.

[00:05:55] But what I'd like to do now is to read an article which I had mentioned on Monday's podcast.

[00:06:03] And many people listening today have heard of the god Baal.

[00:06:10] But what I'm going to do in this article today, this article goes over the details of Baal.

[00:06:18] And exactly who this god was.

[00:06:22] And it also goes into pretty great detail as to why people looked to Baal.

[00:06:30] And they actually believed that worshipping Baal was a positive thing.

[00:06:36] God did not have any of it.

[00:06:39] And God eventually got really upset with the Israelites for following this false god.

[00:06:48] So what I'm going to do is begin this article.

[00:06:51] And it's entitled, Back to Baal.

[00:06:55] Now before I go on, I am going to tell you I am reading out of the Nelson Study Bible.

[00:07:02] So I am going to give that Bible the credit for having this article in it.

[00:07:09] This is not my article.

[00:07:11] It was compiled by the authors of this study Bible.

[00:07:17] But it goes into a great length of detail.

[00:07:22] And talks about who this particular god was.

[00:07:26] By Hosea's time, Baalism.

[00:07:31] And Baalism, of course, is the worshipping of this god Baal.

[00:07:38] So it has to do with all of the people that were consumed with this god and following this god.

[00:07:48] So let's start again.

[00:08:03] So friends, that's the first point of today's lesson.

[00:08:09] Baal was the most important deity in the Canaanite Pantheon.

[00:08:15] Baal's followers believed that his blessing guaranteed the continuation of human life

[00:08:24] and the preservation of social order.

[00:08:28] As a fertility deity, Baal was the provider of children,

[00:08:36] a prized possession in the culture of the ancient Middle East.

[00:08:41] As the god of the storm, Baal brought the rains and made the crops grow.

[00:08:50] So if you think about that,

[00:08:54] that tells me why they were willing to worship this.

[00:09:01] They actually believed that if they followed Baal,

[00:09:05] and if they worshipped him,

[00:09:07] then human life and children would continue on.

[00:09:13] Baal's devotees trusted that with the elements of the storm at his disposal,

[00:09:21] he could defeat the enemies of his people.

[00:09:24] As the king of the divine realm,

[00:09:28] under the ultimate authority of the high god named El,

[00:09:36] Baal overcame the powerful and terrifying deities,

[00:09:42] Yam, the god of the chaotic sea,

[00:09:46] and Mot, the god of death and the underworld.

[00:09:52] Let's go on.

[00:09:54] Recognizing the threat that Baalism posed for his people,

[00:10:01] the Lord actively opposed this false religious system

[00:10:06] from the very beginning of Israel's history.

[00:10:10] He affirmed that he is the only living God.

[00:10:15] The Lord revealed his sovereignty over the elements of the storm,

[00:10:21] and this is found over and over again in Exodus,

[00:10:26] also in Deuteronomy,

[00:10:28] 1 Samuel,

[00:10:30] 1 Kings,

[00:10:31] and it demonstrated his authority over the chaotic sea

[00:10:35] and the realm of the death,

[00:10:38] and proved that he alone could provide children to the infertile.

[00:10:46] This attack on Baalism climaxed at Mount Carmel,

[00:10:53] where the Lord hurled a fiery lightning bolt down from heaven

[00:11:00] to demonstrate beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is the living God.

[00:11:06] Now, before we go on,

[00:11:08] I want to go over that story,

[00:11:11] because many of you are probably familiar with this story.

[00:11:15] It's found in 1 Kings chapter 18,

[00:11:20] and I'm going to read 21 verses.

[00:11:22] This is a rather lengthy story,

[00:11:24] but it goes into great detail about everything that is going on.

[00:11:29] And this passage of scripture is entitled,

[00:11:32] Elijah's Mount Carmel Victory.

[00:11:36] Let's begin 1 Kings chapter 18 verse 20.

[00:11:42] So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel,

[00:11:47] and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel.

[00:11:51] And Elijah came to all the people and said,

[00:11:56] How long will you falter between two opinions?

[00:12:02] If the Lord is God, follow him.

[00:12:06] But if Baal, follow him.

[00:12:09] But the people answered him not a word.

[00:12:13] Then Elijah said to the people,

[00:12:16] I alone am left a prophet of the Lord.

[00:12:21] But Baal's prophets are 450 men.

[00:12:25] Therefore let them give us two bulls,

[00:12:30] and let them choose one bull for themselves,

[00:12:35] cut it in pieces,

[00:12:36] and lay it on the wood,

[00:12:38] but put no fire under it.

[00:12:42] And I will prepare the other bull,

[00:12:45] and lay it on the wood,

[00:12:48] but put no fire under it.

[00:12:50] Then you call on the name of your gods,

[00:12:55] and I will call on the name of the Lord.

[00:12:59] And the God who answers by fire,

[00:13:02] He is God.

[00:13:04] So all of the people answered and said,

[00:13:07] It is well spoken.

[00:13:09] Meaning, they said,

[00:13:10] Okay, bring it on.

[00:13:12] Let's see what you've got, Elijah.

[00:13:15] Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal,

[00:13:18] Choose one bull for yourselves,

[00:13:21] and prepare it first.

[00:13:22] For you are many,

[00:13:24] and call on the name of your God,

[00:13:27] but put no fire under it.

[00:13:30] So they took the bull,

[00:13:32] which was given them,

[00:13:34] and they prepared it,

[00:13:35] and called on the name of Baal

[00:13:38] from morning until noon,

[00:13:42] saying,

[00:13:43] O Baal, hear us.

[00:13:46] But there was no voice.

[00:13:48] No one answered.

[00:13:50] Then they leaped about the altar,

[00:13:52] which they had made.

[00:13:54] And so it was at noon,

[00:13:57] that Elijah mocked them,

[00:13:59] and said,

[00:14:00] Cry aloud,

[00:14:01] for he is a God.

[00:14:03] Either he is meditating,

[00:14:06] or he is busy,

[00:14:08] or he is on a journey,

[00:14:10] or perhaps he is sleeping,

[00:14:12] and must be awakened.

[00:14:14] So listen to the mockery of Elijah.

[00:14:19] He is making fun of both them,

[00:14:23] and this supposed God, Baal.

[00:14:27] So they cried aloud,

[00:14:29] and cut themselves,

[00:14:32] as was their custom,

[00:14:34] with knives and lances,

[00:14:37] until the blood gushed out on them.

[00:14:42] Now friends,

[00:14:43] I've often thought

[00:14:45] this was a gory passage of scripture.

[00:14:47] They are not just barely using knives.

[00:14:51] They literally are cutting themselves

[00:14:54] until blood is gushing out.

[00:14:59] And when midday was passed,

[00:15:02] they prophesied until the time

[00:15:05] of the offering of the evening sacrifice.

[00:15:08] But there was no voice.

[00:15:09] No one answered.

[00:15:11] No one paid attention.

[00:15:13] Then Elijah said to all the people,

[00:15:17] Come near to me.

[00:15:19] So all the people came near to him,

[00:15:23] and he repaired the altar of the Lord

[00:15:26] that was broken down.

[00:15:27] And Elijah took twelve stones,

[00:15:30] according to the number of the tribes

[00:15:32] of the sons of Jacob,

[00:15:34] to whom the word of the Lord had come,

[00:15:37] saying,

[00:15:38] Israel shall be your name.

[00:15:40] Then with the stones,

[00:15:42] he built an altar

[00:15:43] in the name of the Lord,

[00:15:45] and he made a trench

[00:15:46] around the altar

[00:15:48] large enough

[00:15:50] to hold two seas of seed.

[00:15:53] And he put the wood in order,

[00:15:55] cut the bull in pieces,

[00:15:58] and laid it on the wood,

[00:16:00] and said,

[00:16:01] Fill four water pots with water,

[00:16:05] and pour it

[00:16:06] on the burnt sacrifice

[00:16:08] and on the wood.

[00:16:10] Then he said,

[00:16:12] Do it a second time.

[00:16:13] And they did it a second time.

[00:16:16] And he said,

[00:16:17] Do it a third time.

[00:16:19] And they did it a third time.

[00:16:22] So the water ran

[00:16:23] all around the altar.

[00:16:26] And he also filled

[00:16:28] the trench with water.

[00:16:30] Now friends,

[00:16:31] I want you to picture this.

[00:16:33] There is water flowing,

[00:16:36] flowing

[00:16:37] around this altar.

[00:16:39] It's like a ditch

[00:16:41] has been made,

[00:16:42] and it's filled

[00:16:43] with water.

[00:16:44] And it came to pass

[00:16:45] at the time

[00:16:46] of the offering

[00:16:47] of the evening sacrifice

[00:16:49] that Elijah the prophet

[00:16:51] came near

[00:16:52] and said,

[00:16:53] Lord God

[00:16:54] of Abraham,

[00:16:56] Isaac,

[00:16:57] and Israel,

[00:16:59] let it be known

[00:17:00] this day

[00:17:01] that you

[00:17:02] are God

[00:17:03] in Israel,

[00:17:04] and I

[00:17:05] am your servant,

[00:17:06] and that I

[00:17:08] have done all

[00:17:08] these things

[00:17:09] at your word.

[00:17:11] Hear me,

[00:17:12] O Lord,

[00:17:13] hear me,

[00:17:15] that this people

[00:17:16] may know

[00:17:17] that you

[00:17:18] are the

[00:17:19] Lord God,

[00:17:20] and that you

[00:17:20] have turned

[00:17:21] their hearts

[00:17:22] back to you

[00:17:23] again.

[00:17:24] Then

[00:17:25] the fire

[00:17:26] of the Lord

[00:17:27] fell

[00:17:28] and consumed

[00:17:29] the burnt

[00:17:30] offering,

[00:17:31] and the wood,

[00:17:32] and the stones,

[00:17:34] and the dust,

[00:17:36] and it

[00:17:37] licked up

[00:17:38] the water

[00:17:39] that was

[00:17:40] in the

[00:17:40] trench.

[00:17:40] Now,

[00:17:41] when all

[00:17:42] of the people

[00:17:42] saw it,

[00:17:43] they fell

[00:17:44] on their faces,

[00:17:45] and they

[00:17:46] said,

[00:17:46] the Lord,

[00:17:48] he is

[00:17:48] God,

[00:17:49] the Lord,

[00:17:50] he is

[00:17:51] God.

[00:17:52] And listen

[00:17:53] to the ending

[00:17:54] of this story.

[00:17:55] And Elijah

[00:17:56] said to them,

[00:17:57] seize the

[00:17:58] prophets

[00:17:59] of Baal.

[00:18:00] Do not let

[00:18:01] one of them

[00:18:02] escape.

[00:18:03] So they

[00:18:03] seized them,

[00:18:04] and Elijah

[00:18:05] brought them

[00:18:06] down to the

[00:18:07] brook

[00:18:08] Kishon,

[00:18:09] and executed

[00:18:10] them

[00:18:11] there.

[00:18:13] Friends,

[00:18:14] there were

[00:18:15] four hundred

[00:18:17] fifty

[00:18:18] prophets

[00:18:19] of Baal,

[00:18:20] and they

[00:18:21] were all

[00:18:22] executed

[00:18:23] that evening,

[00:18:25] that day.

[00:18:28] The people

[00:18:29] realized

[00:18:30] that God

[00:18:32] was

[00:18:33] who

[00:18:34] he said

[00:18:35] he was,

[00:18:36] and that

[00:18:37] Baal

[00:18:37] was

[00:18:38] not.

[00:18:40] Let's go

[00:18:41] back to

[00:18:41] our story.

[00:18:42] When Jehu

[00:18:44] later purged

[00:18:45] the kingdom

[00:18:46] of Baalism,

[00:18:48] the Lord's

[00:18:48] victory

[00:18:49] seemed

[00:18:50] complete.

[00:18:51] However,

[00:18:52] less than

[00:18:53] a century

[00:18:54] later,

[00:18:55] meaning a

[00:18:55] hundred years,

[00:18:56] Baalism

[00:18:57] had resurfaced

[00:18:58] as the

[00:18:59] religion of

[00:19:00] the people

[00:19:01] forcing

[00:19:02] the Lord

[00:19:03] to confront

[00:19:04] Israel

[00:19:05] through

[00:19:06] Hosea

[00:19:07] the prophet.

[00:19:09] How are we

[00:19:10] to explain

[00:19:11] Baalism's

[00:19:12] success?

[00:19:13] The Lord

[00:19:14] demanded

[00:19:14] obedience

[00:19:15] to strict

[00:19:16] moral and

[00:19:17] ethical standards

[00:19:19] as a basis

[00:19:20] for blessing.

[00:19:21] In stark

[00:19:22] contrast,

[00:19:23] Baalism

[00:19:24] appealed

[00:19:25] to the

[00:19:26] sensual

[00:19:26] nature.

[00:19:28] Baal's

[00:19:28] favor

[00:19:29] was gained

[00:19:30] through

[00:19:31] sympathetic

[00:19:32] magic

[00:19:32] in the

[00:19:34] form of

[00:19:35] ritual

[00:19:35] prostitution.

[00:19:37] And friends,

[00:19:38] that is my

[00:19:38] third point

[00:19:39] today.

[00:19:40] Baal's

[00:19:41] favor

[00:19:41] was gained

[00:19:43] through

[00:19:43] sympathetic

[00:19:44] magic

[00:19:44] in the

[00:19:45] form of

[00:19:46] ritual

[00:19:47] prostitution.

[00:19:48] So friends,

[00:19:50] basically,

[00:19:51] when they

[00:19:52] were worshiping

[00:19:53] Baal,

[00:19:54] they actually

[00:19:55] had shrine

[00:19:56] prostitutes,

[00:19:57] and they

[00:19:58] had illicit

[00:19:59] sex in

[00:20:01] the temple

[00:20:02] where they

[00:20:03] were worshiping

[00:20:04] this.

[00:20:05] So everybody

[00:20:05] was having

[00:20:06] sex.

[00:20:07] It was like

[00:20:08] an orgy.

[00:20:09] And they

[00:20:10] felt good

[00:20:11] because they

[00:20:13] had physical

[00:20:13] pleasure.

[00:20:14] But that

[00:20:15] is not

[00:20:16] what God

[00:20:18] wanted.

[00:20:18] Through these

[00:20:19] rights,

[00:20:20] young men and

[00:20:21] women supposedly

[00:20:22] could gain

[00:20:23] Baal's favor

[00:20:24] and ensure

[00:20:26] their ability

[00:20:26] to produce

[00:20:27] and bear

[00:20:28] children.

[00:20:28] Because of

[00:20:29] Baalism's

[00:20:30] attractions to

[00:20:31] the base

[00:20:31] side of

[00:20:33] human nature,

[00:20:34] it persisted

[00:20:35] in Israel.

[00:20:36] It promised

[00:20:37] an easy

[00:20:38] and even

[00:20:39] enjoyable road

[00:20:40] to prosperity

[00:20:41] while God's

[00:20:43] way,

[00:20:44] the way

[00:20:44] of true

[00:20:45] life,

[00:20:46] demanded

[00:20:47] selflessness.

[00:20:50] And that

[00:20:51] didn't

[00:20:51] appeal

[00:20:52] to them.

[00:20:54] So friends,

[00:20:54] before we

[00:20:55] close today,

[00:20:56] let's go

[00:20:56] back to

[00:20:57] Proverb 24

[00:20:59] verses 13

[00:21:00] and 14.

[00:21:01] My son,

[00:21:03] eat honey

[00:21:03] because it

[00:21:04] is good,

[00:21:05] and the

[00:21:06] honeycomb

[00:21:06] which is

[00:21:07] sweet to

[00:21:08] your taste.

[00:21:09] So shall

[00:21:10] the knowledge

[00:21:10] of wisdom

[00:21:11] be to

[00:21:12] your soul.

[00:21:13] If you

[00:21:14] have found

[00:21:15] it,

[00:21:15] there is

[00:21:16] a prospect

[00:21:16] and your

[00:21:17] hope will

[00:21:18] not be

[00:21:19] cut off.

[00:21:20] So friends,

[00:21:22] if you

[00:21:23] listen to

[00:21:24] these two

[00:21:24] verses,

[00:21:25] you ask

[00:21:26] yourself,

[00:21:27] where are

[00:21:29] you at

[00:21:29] today?

[00:21:30] Do you

[00:21:31] want to

[00:21:32] take the

[00:21:32] easy way

[00:21:33] out and

[00:21:34] do what

[00:21:35] feels good

[00:21:36] to your

[00:21:37] body?

[00:21:38] To worship

[00:21:39] a God?

[00:21:41] To have

[00:21:42] illicit sex

[00:21:43] with whoever

[00:21:44] it is you

[00:21:45] want to

[00:21:46] have sex

[00:21:47] with?

[00:21:47] That is

[00:21:49] not God's

[00:21:50] way.

[00:21:51] God

[00:21:52] wants us

[00:21:52] to only

[00:21:53] have

[00:21:54] sex

[00:21:54] with

[00:21:56] our

[00:21:56] spouse

[00:21:57] and

[00:21:57] only

[00:21:58] in

[00:21:59] the

[00:21:59] marriage

[00:21:59] covenant.

[00:22:01] So friends,

[00:22:02] that is my

[00:22:03] call to

[00:22:03] action

[00:22:03] today.

[00:22:04] Where

[00:22:05] are you

[00:22:05] at

[00:22:06] today?

[00:22:06] Are

[00:22:07] you

[00:22:07] following

[00:22:08] God?

[00:22:09] Are

[00:22:09] you

[00:22:10] following

[00:22:11] His

[00:22:11] commands?

[00:22:12] Are

[00:22:13] you

[00:22:13] doing

[00:22:14] what

[00:22:15] God

[00:22:15] has

[00:22:16] called

[00:22:16] you

[00:22:17] to

[00:22:17] do?

[00:22:17] Or

[00:22:18] are you

[00:22:19] listening

[00:22:19] to

[00:22:20] your

[00:22:20] flesh

[00:22:21] and

[00:22:22] doing

[00:22:22] what

[00:22:23] your

[00:22:23] body

[00:22:23] tells

[00:22:24] you

[00:22:25] feels

[00:22:26] good?

[00:22:27] Friends,

[00:22:28] I will

[00:22:29] never

[00:22:29] end a

[00:22:30] podcast

[00:22:30] without

[00:22:31] giving

[00:22:31] anyone

[00:22:32] an

[00:22:32] opportunity

[00:22:33] to receive

[00:22:34] Jesus

[00:22:34] as their

[00:22:35] Lord and

[00:22:35] Savior.

[00:22:36] If there

[00:22:36] is anyone

[00:22:37] listening

[00:22:37] today and

[00:22:38] you've

[00:22:38] never

[00:22:38] taken

[00:22:39] that

[00:22:48] I

[00:22:49] believe

[00:22:49] that

[00:22:50] you

[00:22:50] are

[00:22:50] the

[00:22:51] Son

[00:22:51] of

[00:22:51] God.

[00:22:51] I

[00:22:52] ask

[00:22:52] that

[00:22:52] you

[00:22:53] come

[00:22:53] into

[00:22:53] my

[00:22:54] heart.

[00:22:54] I

[00:22:55] ask

[00:22:55] that

[00:22:55] you

[00:22:55] lead

[00:22:55] me

[00:22:56] and

[00:22:56] guide

[00:22:57] me

[00:22:57] from

[00:22:57] this

[00:22:57] point

[00:22:58] forward.

[00:22:59] I

[00:22:59] ask

[00:22:59] this

[00:23:00] in

[00:23:00] Jesus

[00:23:00] name.

[00:23:02] Now

[00:23:02] may

[00:23:03] the

[00:23:03] Lord

[00:23:03] bless

[00:23:03] you

[00:23:04] and

[00:23:04] keep

[00:23:05] you.

[00:23:05] The

[00:23:06] Lord

[00:23:06] make

[00:23:06] His

[00:23:06] face

[00:23:06] shine

[00:23:07] upon

[00:23:08] you

[00:23:08] and

[00:23:08] be

[00:23:09] gracious

[00:23:09] to

[00:23:09] you.

[00:23:10] The

[00:23:10] Lord

[00:23:10] lift

[00:23:11] up

[00:23:11] His

[00:23:12] countenance

[00:23:12] upon

[00:23:12] you

[00:23:13] and

[00:23:14] give

[00:23:14] you

[00:23:14] peace.

[00:23:15] Friends,

[00:23:16] please

[00:23:16] join

[00:23:17] me

[00:23:17] tomorrow

[00:23:18] as

[00:23:18] my

[00:23:18] wife

[00:23:19] Judy

[00:23:19] will

[00:23:20] join

[00:23:20] me

[00:23:21] as

[00:23:21] it

[00:23:21] is

[00:23:22] the

[00:23:22] last

[00:23:22] Friday

[00:23:22] of

[00:23:23] the

[00:23:24] month

[00:23:24] of

[00:23:24] October.

[00:23:25] She

[00:23:25] will

[00:23:25] come

[00:23:26] on

[00:23:26] as

[00:23:26] she

[00:23:26] customarily

[00:23:27] does

[00:23:28] on

[00:23:28] this

[00:23:29] last

[00:23:29] Friday

[00:23:29] we'll

[00:23:30] go

[00:23:30] over

[00:23:30] our

[00:23:31] ministry

[00:23:31] and

[00:23:32] the

[00:23:32] progress

[00:23:33] that

[00:23:33] we've

[00:23:33] made

[00:23:34] the

[00:23:34] last

[00:23:34] month.

[00:23:35] Please

[00:23:36] join

[00:23:36] us

[00:23:36] as

[00:23:37] we

[00:23:37] further

[00:23:37] explore

[00:23:38] wisdom

[00:23:39] today.
