Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 11. I will then introduce you to my special guest for the day, John Fant. John is a fellow 2nd year Charis Bible College student. This is the third time John has been on the podcast (he was previously on May 31, 2022 and April 4, 2023). I suggest you not listen to this podcast prior to listening both of the previous podcasts. John discusses how he ended up at Charis Bible College. He talks about that "sweet spot" and being right where you are supposed to be. He then discusses the relationship he has with his new wife and what the future holds in store for him.
[00:00:06] Welcome to Wisdom Today. My name is Bill Kelley and I'll be your host. In this podcast we will be exploring the book of Proverbs. So, if you're in prayer, Father God, I thank you for anyone listening to this podcast today.
[00:00:27] Lord, I pray that you would reveal to everyone listening today how much you truly love each and every one. And Father in addition, I pray that you give everyone listening favor with both God and man. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen. This is Proverbs 11 beginning in verse 1.
[00:00:49] Disonna scales are in abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight. When pride comes, then comes shame, but with a humble is wisdom. The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
[00:01:11] Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way a right, but the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.
[00:01:27] The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, but the unfaithful will be caught by their lust. When a wicked man dies, his expectation will perish and the hope of the unjust perishes. The righteousness is delivered from trouble and it comes to the wicked instead.
[00:01:50] The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.
[00:02:08] By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. He who is devoid of understanding holds his peace, a tale bearer reveals secrets that he who is a faithful spirit conceals a matter.
[00:02:31] Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors, there is safety. He who is surety for a stranger will suffer that one who hates being surety is secure. A gracious woman retains honor that ruthless men retain riches.
[00:02:57] The merciful man does good for his own soul, that he who is cruel troubles his own flesh. The wicked man does deceptive work that he who's so righteousness will have a sure reward. As righteousness leads to life, so he who pursues evil pursues it to his own death.
[00:03:24] Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord, but the blameless in their ways are his delight. Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished, but the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.
[00:03:43] As a ring of gold in a swines snout, so is a lovely woman who lacks discretion. The desire of the righteous is only good, that the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
[00:03:59] There is one who scatters, yet increases more, and there is one who withholds more than his right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.
[00:04:18] The people will curse him who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it. He who earnestly seeks good, finds favor, but trouble will come to him who seeks evil.
[00:04:37] He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage. He who troubles his own house will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.
[00:04:54] The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner. Friends I have one of my best friends on today. This is John Fant.
[00:05:15] And we are taping this over a year in advance, and John, you know, today is actually April 19th of 23.
[00:05:25] We only have four weeks left of second year, and Judy and I are not going to be coming back. You will be, but this is not actually going to go out and Joel June 11th of 24.
[00:05:39] Anyway, it is important that you guys listen to John's previous testimonies. He was on May 31st of 22. And I have him on a second time April 4th of 23. So if you guys would I would highly encourage you to go on their first prior to listening to this.
[00:06:02] John, thank you for coming on. You know, you're one of my best friends and you know, I know that we're going to be together in eternity. Even though, you know, I'm not going to become back next year, we're going to be together in soul and in spirit.
[00:06:19] And we will be staying in touch, but thanks for coming on. I really appreciate it. Okay, we just finished a proper 11 John. If you would, which verse spoke to you today that you'd like to enlighten the audience with?
[00:06:34] Well, one thing I love about problems 11, especially in the time period in which we're living there seems to be so much insecurity about the future, about the present. And it's funny because our father addresses all of this in this proper. It's just really one proper.
[00:06:55] It goes through and it tells you the righteous are going to be delivered several times and that the wicked will not escape punishment.
[00:07:03] And that's really him trying to reassure us that no matter how dark the times get, we are safe and protected in his hand because we're in him. The verse that sticks out to me the most would be verse 21 though they join forces with the wicked.
[00:07:20] They will not go unpunished. This is the part the posterity or the King James says the seed of the righteous will be delivered. Our posterity and ourselves. I mean, we not only are protected but our bloodline going forward is protected.
[00:07:40] All we need to do is trust him. We don't have to have any worries and as long as we do trust him, we will be okay. This is such a wonderful, wonderful proverb.
[00:07:52] A gift from the father to let us know that we do not need to be afraid in these seemingly troubled and desperate times. Wow, that's so good. You know, John, we have four weeks left and I'm trying to just cherish every last moment that we have here.
[00:08:15] And you know, when I think that Judy and I came just last January and it's so hard to believe it's only been 15 months. And so we spent three months at home last summer.
[00:08:29] So basically in the last 15 months we've only been here at carous for 12 months as far as time goes. But as far as the attorney goes, Judy and I have just absorbed so much.
[00:08:45] And I believe we're different people than when we came and I don't know. I know John that you have previously been to two different Bible colleges. And if you would just share what is different about carous than the other schools you previously attended.
[00:09:04] So the very first Bible school I went to was very word. Word of faith oriented. I mean, we were in the word for two years it was almost like our first year at carous but stretched out into two years.
[00:09:19] We weren't really taught anything practical about ministry. So consequently when we got out of college we didn't know what to do. We were fortified with the word. But practically we didn't know how to even begin ministry, how to start it, how to launch out into ministry.
[00:09:37] What that even looked like for each of us. So carous is very different in that we get both parts to that.
[00:09:45] And then once we have a direction if we want to hang around for another third year they even give us a more laser focus on what our calling is. That's wonderful because I didn't get that that first year.
[00:09:58] And then in my second year or my second Bible college rather that was more just practical ministry with very little word. So it was almost the opposite of exactly what my first year was.
[00:10:10] We came out of there and I really fortified any more in the word and therefore not transformed by it anymore. But we knew how to go out and basically create a church franchise.
[00:10:21] We could do anything that we wanted to do as far as how to operate, how to start and launch out into ministry. But the word really wasn't a priority. Here at carous you get both. You get all of the good things. We're up to up into one school.
[00:10:39] So it was really a combination of both schools. But then add to that the revelation of a Paul the revelation of grace. The revelation of our oneness with Christ are oneness with the body. It just made everything complete.
[00:10:57] Well, that's just so good John you know there's nothing more important. I believe than being exactly where God wants you to be. And John, Judy and I have been here and you know you know what my calling is my calling is this podcast.
[00:11:18] The Holy Spirit woke me up in the middle of the night back in March last year told me to start this on April 1st and you know I think we're you know right now on episode 275 right now on the present. It'll be like 400 500 by the time this airs.
[00:11:33] But you know this is my comfort zone and when you're in the comfort zone your right where God wants you to be.
[00:11:41] It's just a special place to be because you sense the peace of God and everything you do and you know the Holy Spirit is continuing to work in me as to exactly what to put on this podcast.
[00:11:56] And I always know I do it two weeks in advance because what when it comes out I want to listen to what I have to say because it's not me John it's the Holy Spirit in me he's telling me and it bands what what to talk about.
[00:12:11] And I have just totally totally been so enriched by that process and you know the enjoyment I get by interviewing these people every Tuesday. It's just been a real blessing.
[00:12:24] Now John you're in a different environment you're in the environment of entertainment you know and this is somewhat entertainment but you're actually on the stage.
[00:12:35] So if you would share your perspective of what God has brought you to why are you here at carous I think we on a shadow of a doubt it's been revealed to you. So share that and your perspective of what you're doing here.
[00:12:53] And before I get to that I just want to address something you said because the scripture popped up on my head and Philippians too. And 12 where it says therefore my beloved is you have always obeyed not as in my presence only.
[00:13:07] But now much more in my absence workout your own salvation with fear and trembling for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure.
[00:13:20] And I just encapsulates what you just said to me before asking me to give my testimony of the calling that I have received and the clarity of that calling here.
[00:13:30] Who knew that I would be in entertainment certainly not me I mean I'm an entertaining guy because I'm and I love people and. I love humor you know this is something God has endured me with for sure.
[00:13:46] But coming here I did not understand why needed to be here. I'd already been to two different types of Bible schools I was already pastoring in Alabama running an entire ministry from my senior pastor teaching which is something else that I'm called to do.
[00:14:06] And loving every minute of that but yet even in the in the midst of all of that I still knew there was something more not that there was something missing.
[00:14:17] But there was something more and I will tell you I'm 58 years old and ever since I was a preteen I have been a seeker of him a seeker of truth.
[00:14:32] And a seeker of his presence in my life where there was sitting on a beach in New Jersey and talking to him in the pitch black of darkness looking out over the expansive the oceans at the ships passing by and.
[00:14:45] Or or looking at the people around me and what even at a very early age seemed to be a redundant futility of their lives and thinking it was got to be more to life than that there has to be more to you.
[00:14:59] And then this which means there has to be more to what you have purpose me here for.
[00:15:06] Then what I'm seeing not only in myself but in the lives of all people around me that are already grown up and living their lives well into some late years so I arrive here.
[00:15:19] And and to my surprise I get picked out of a chair as I'm sitting in first year waiting for the next speaker to come up we're on a break and I get picked out asked if I would like to come after school and possibly.
[00:15:37] And look into doing some part in the school I looked at as a school player at that time I had no idea they were like full on Broadway musicals.
[00:15:50] And I was like sure yeah I thought to do that that be cool I'm always up for something new and little did I know what that night would hold ended up filming that night. Actually for a Broadway musical that we just completed last week.
[00:16:06] And the filming I did actually had to redo because I had to main role in it instead of just a you know a small part in it.
[00:16:15] Just 15 months later like it blows my mind that 40 years of searching from the time I was really 18 and graduating high school and going into college. Of what is my fit or how do I even find that.
[00:16:31] And and going from one thing to another if you'd seen if you saw my resume it's a four or five six page booklet of just different things that I have done all successfully.
[00:16:44] But varied from one thing to another managing a store running a bakery being a house parent running a student home so many different things.
[00:16:54] I working as a clerk and a grocery store running ice cream on the beach I mean so many things that I've done but never ever felt that I was made for that.
[00:17:06] That it was just something that I was doing on my way to wherever that would be and whatever that would be. And here I end every carous in Colorado the 10th state that I've lived in in my lifetime.
[00:17:20] And just from to me what seemed like mere chance but of course the Lord have already made this pathway straight before me. I end up in all of these musicals countless musicals now with with main after roles and lean.
[00:17:39] You know parts in the musical and I'm actually getting recompense toward to which just blows me away.
[00:17:50] I'm I'm I'm in the sweet spot, I think you called it comfort zone and I guess I refer to it as I'm in this sweet spot for the first time in my life where I know exactly where I need to be.
[00:18:02] I know I'm doing exactly what he not only wants me to do but designed for me to do this prior to this I've never done any of these things and I get up on stage or I get before a camera where we're making feature films now.
[00:18:18] And all of these things flow from the Holy Spirit within me out of me with really very little professional as the world would look at it training or guidance. But yet as I look back he's been preparing me for this my whole life.
[00:18:39] That's really good you know and as they're for 14 you know many people know this verse it says who knows but you were born for such a time as this.
[00:18:51] And that's what happens when you're in your sweet spot you know don't debibal tells us you know the steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord.
[00:19:00] Yeah, you were faithful to come here and now you're being promoted God has recognized you and the thing about it is I truly believe that if we take the steps one at a time that he places in front of us.
[00:19:16] We're going to be recognized because when you're in yet sweet spot, you know you just stand out it says your giftings will make room for you and there's so much truth to that.
[00:19:29] But John has been you know it's been so fun for me watching you grow and you know I got to be in a production last year and I wasn't in one this year but last year was enough for me.
[00:19:41] I feel I served my purpose I had you know it wasn't that big a role but it was a powerful role.
[00:19:48] And you know and I made my mark but I feel that my mark right now is this podcast and it's it's starting to grow a little bit and people are starting to recognize it and you know if I'm faithful then then this too will it you know it's going to explode one day or another you know it may be a little bit longer than I'd like.
[00:20:10] But you know the Bible tells us do not despise small beginnings. Yes, you know you just do the seed and God is going to be you know he's going to recognize what's going on.
[00:20:21] But John you know talk about you know these next four weeks you know I know you're coming back but some of us are not and I know it's going to be very emotional before we leave you know whenever you leave and have to part.
[00:20:40] People you love regardless of what type of relationship it is but it's hard to do that and you know there's many people that I have really really communicated and become very close with.
[00:20:56] I really have 50 people in my phone that I plan on staying in touch with but you know just just go through the emotions that you're feeling right now knowing that what we have had is going to come to an end shortly.
[00:21:11] Yeah well that's too cold I mean there is an end. So these two years but there's a commencement at the end right there's a new beginning also at the end and you know for me I'll be going into third year at the film and production program at carous.
[00:21:29] Delving in even deeper you know learning about production and writing and and who knows what else it has in store for me we're doing projects that. We already have in mind and filming feature films there's so much that's going to happen over the course of the next year.
[00:21:52] It's hard for me to even imagine what my life will look like even a year from now other than the fact that it's going to be a beautiful thing.
[00:22:02] So for second year I mean I can't believe it's been two years already boy that went by so quickly you're so inundated with relationships and and the word of God and.
[00:22:14] And bouncing things off of each other as iron sharpens iron and that the relational ties that we're forming the closeness that we're not just part of the eternal family at the end of life but we're part of the eternal family now in the midst of life.
[00:22:34] We'll be the last time we see each other certainly won't be the last time we speak to each other it's just a beginning and we've now shared an experience together. That binds us together even more because we've walked alongside each other on this journey.
[00:22:52] We've seen each other grow we've seen the transformation take place I watch to take place in you I watch to take place in Judy in my own wife.
[00:23:02] Who was ahead of me on the starting because she started out here in third year as I was starting on first year.
[00:23:09] But like you said there's so many connections that we have made we were brought here for such a time as this we were brought here to grow in the world to work out our salvation with each other and the midst of each other with fear and trembling.
[00:23:26] The relationships that we're forming the opportunities that now are starting to present themselves that are rising up out of all the work that we've put in. Seeing that transformation and where it is directing us and guiding us and leading us to go.
[00:23:44] It's amazing to me I remember being on this podcast was maybe one of your first to you I don't know but wow what a change in you and your own confidence in your own authority.
[00:23:58] You have a commanding presence now here and and I was with you when you were just kind of working through this and then we were working through it together side by side. But that's how life's gonna be.
[00:24:09] You know we don't need to put down these relationships we need to exalt these relationships and keep that fire burning as the coals are together they stay warm it's only as they become further apart that they lose their fire in their flame.
[00:24:25] So it's up to us to remain close and to keep in contact with each other and to share going forward life's experience with Christ. And it's gonna be an amazing time.
[00:24:40] It is you know and to me any relationship is just like it says you know just a relationship we have with Jesus you know and it says seek and you shall find not and the door shall we open to you just like we have to pursue Christ we also have to pursue our relationships that we have and you know I'm looking forward to go and home and start to care as Bible study.
[00:25:04] That's what we plan on doing out of our home and I believe out of that we're probably gonna end up starting our own church because I don't really want to go to church.
[00:25:13] That doesn't believe the way we do and you know now that we've learned the truth and the truth is in us you know I want to impart that to other people that do not know Christ the way that we can no Christ.
[00:25:30] And you know the relationship that you have with Jesus is a special one and I know some people listening to this audience may just sit there and think how can that be.
[00:25:42] And if you don't understand what we're talking about and you can just tell the way John and I were we're like two individuals but we are we are together it's like we're in partnership.
[00:25:56] You know Paul talked about that he talked about that and the special lettery wrote to the book that the church and syllabi but that is all about partnership and relationship and you know.
[00:26:10] I am just really looking forward to the future but what I'm really looking forward to John is imparting on the you know our three children and our grandchildren imparting the knowledge that we've gotten and just sharing the love of God everywhere we go.
[00:26:27] It is our call not just to do people we know but we need to share with people we don't know because people are hurting in this world you mentioned made reference to the world right now it's just a confusing place for a lot of people.
[00:26:44] The people want to hear the truth and they are eager to find out the truth and if you would John just throw out your perspective a little bit of this and what on earth is going on in our country right now.
[00:27:02] I'm just going to start it from truth you know the word of God is absolutely truth and it is truth absolutely.
[00:27:12] It's it's he has created all things from the beginning he was the beginning so now we have gotten away from that and have decided that we should have an opinion about what God has said or what has Jesus has done.
[00:27:31] I was talking Alex from a couple of weeks ago because the Lord spoke to me as Alex was teaching us that. The only people that actually have freedom are born again Christians because they have freedom not of opinion but from opinion.
[00:27:52] We have been given absolute truth and we have been given the spirit of God which testifies with our spirit that it is absolutely truth. So really the born again disciple the secret should have no question as to the goodness of God and to the intent of his creation.
[00:28:17] So when we look around us we understand that these people that are around us that are in such chaos they're not part of us they're not part of God they're separated from him and he dearly wants them to be reunited with him which is why he sent his son to die for all of mankind.
[00:28:36] But we're given a choice and they're deceived just like he was in the garden mankind is still deceived today Satan's a liar he's good at what he does he's a defeated foe but he'll convince you that he's not.
[00:28:54] He'll convince you that you should be God that's exactly what he wanted to be he wanted to exalt himself above the throne of God and he was ended at being cast down for it.
[00:29:06] He would not embrace the truth and there was a truth that God created him and it got loved him but he turned from it as many people do and they make their own choice he's given us a free will and what we see is free will gone awry we see free will.
[00:29:26] Through deception turning mankind away from God and they're exalting themselves and their pleasures and their lusts and their desires and that they think they have a right to all of these things when.
[00:29:40] If they were just born again and reunited with the father the blessings of God are so much more there's so many more riches and treasures in the kingdom of God than are there are apart from it but they don't know that because they're separated from him.
[00:29:56] So we're a light in the darkness we live our lives according to truth we walk in love because that's what he said we would be known by our love one for another.
[00:30:08] And the world eventually is going to want to know what is the reason for the hope that is within us and we'll be able to tell them because not because we've been to Bible school and we've studied it that's a part of it.
[00:30:22] But because we're living it out in real time with each other as a family a divine family in Christ with God as our father knowing that if any evil was to happen around us he will turn it as good towards us.
[00:30:40] You know through Proverbs 11 the answers are there the assurance is there that God is with us and that God is for us. In addition to that you know I'm thinking of first Thessalonians in chapter 2 and verse 8 is it describes exactly what we are.
[00:31:01] And it says so affectionately longing for you we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives because you had become.
[00:31:17] Dear to us that's the whole walking in love thing that's the you will be known by your love for one for another. We don't just preach we don't just walk this out we do it hand in hand and arm and arm with each other because together.
[00:31:35] We can get through anything God is for us as I said before and we are one with him we have the victory we've been made to be more than conquerors in this life.
[00:31:48] The only battle that needs to be fought is the battle of our hearts and believing this truth and following and trusting in God and what Jesus has done for us.
[00:32:01] That's that's so true John and you know we are both leaders John and you know I like what rape had or some head of the business school here at care says he said leaders are readers and readers are leaders and you know I make a point of reading every single day.
[00:32:20] Because I constantly want to know as much information as my brain actually allow me to take in you know and it seems it seems so funny it's almost like the more I learn John the more I realize I don't know.
[00:32:36] But you know what I found is really the only things that really really are important are things that have to do with eternity things that have to do with Jesus and knowing him and just surrounding yourself with people who are like minded and people who think the way that we do you know when you have conversations with people who don't know Jesus John.
[00:33:04] They're they're never deep. They're always circus level stuff and I'm just so tired of talking to people and talking about weather and stuff like that it's like oh my gosh, it's like people just don't have any depth that don't know Jesus and you know for those of you who have yet to make him Lord of your life if you've never done that you're sitting there thinking my gosh how arrogant can you be.
[00:33:34] And it may come across that way. It may come across that way to someone who doesn't know the truth but I mean we're actually living in a time John where people are actually coming up with ideas that there is no truth and it just boggles my mind to think about some of the things that this world is presently throwing in our face
[00:34:02] and wanting us to accept and believe and it just if I if I hadn't seen it and hadn't experienced it I just simply would not believe what's going on in this world today
[00:34:16] John, I want to talk to you and give you an opportunity to talk about sharing and you guys have just been married over a little over a year now
[00:34:26] and you know she is so precious but if you would talk about the development of how your marriage is coming into basically fruition if you will and then the maturing of you as a couple.
[00:34:44] Yeah and before I do you let me just address something you just said about people not having depth. It's amazing to me the the enemy has substituted breadth for depth. So he has people seeking all these experiences and all these different things and they're only puddle deep.
[00:35:03] Well if I do all of these things it makes me a better person but yet they don't know the foundation of who they even are. So you can't substitute doing a whole bunch of things once for really doing a few things well and knowing who you are.
[00:35:20] Knowing what your foundation is in Christ get back to sharing. Wow, what an experience that has been she's she's the love of my life. I mean I can say that now there had a prior relationship and that lasted for 26 years
[00:35:39] and we had some wonderful times but there were so many things that I did not know about relationships when I went through that relationship they weren't taught. There's still not taught today in most circles and most churches.
[00:35:56] But because I have been diligent in seeking God's face and all things it opened the door for him to show me things that I did not know before.
[00:36:08] And that has blessed our relationship and such an amazing way sharing I met at the church wasn't pastoring there at the time but I did hold a position there. Director of small groups in communications director at the church.
[00:36:23] So I had a position of leadership and authority and recognition within the church and when I first met her she was coming from a very wounded place in her life and I had to just come from a very wounded place in my life.
[00:36:40] And we developed very gradually slowly a friendship as we worked in small groups together we ended up leading the singles in the church as a small group together for several years.
[00:36:55] And we became friends and we did life together and shared life together and experiences alive together and we became best friends. By the time three and a half years had passed we talked all the time every day.
[00:37:11] No intention of really taking it anywhere other than a friendship because we had both been wounded in prior relationships.
[00:37:21] I was good my relationship with the Lord was solid I was grounded in that so I didn't need anything or any one else to be complete or to be whole I was already complete now is already all.
[00:37:39] So that's a tip if you're going into a relationship you need to be complete going into the relationship because if you're not and you're trying to find your completion in somebody else any relationship. Number one your level never be unconditional.
[00:37:56] Because now you have predicated your relationship on if you meet my needs I'll meet your means.
[00:38:03] That's not how sharing I entered into our relationship because God was teaching us I would share it with her he would teach her she would share it with me we would sing and share it with the singles group and before you knew it we were both so grounded that when it came to you know what.
[00:38:23] We could do life without each other.
[00:38:26] We just don't want to we enjoy each other's company so much you know I loved her she loved me dearly as well and we made a choice even though we could be life without each other that we were going to do life together because we just thought that would be so much better so much more fun and boy has it been.
[00:38:48] Because now I'm free to love her unconditionally because she doesn't meet my needs there are no needs that I require from her and the same is reciprocated I don't meet her needs I don't make her complete.
[00:39:02] She was all coming into relationship just as I was so we are just completely free. To enjoy what God really intended for relationships and that was unconditional love and the joy of walking through life together just like it said in first place alone you're still.
[00:39:20] I'm just imparting the gospel but doing life together so that has been an amazing and cherished blessing. Well you know and that's so true you know problems 1822 says he who finds a wife finds a good thing and it's a favor from the Lord.
[00:39:39] And for any of you out there listening and if you're not married and if you're in a relationship or if you're living together may I encourage you to seek a possibility of getting married because first of all that verse as the God will prosper.
[00:39:57] He's going to obtain favor if you enter into that relationship which without doing that you probably are not going to have the favor.
[00:40:10] Something about marriage is just so precious John I mean from the very beginning in Genesis chapter two God initiated the relationship at marriage and he made it known that that is his primary desire.
[00:40:27] He's a man and woman come together they get together they meet they fall in love they have kids they procreate and that's what our world is to be.
[00:40:37] You know man and a woman together and you know it's just absolutely awesome and it both exemplifies and demonstrates the very heart of the relationship that we have with Jesus himself as his bride.
[00:40:55] So true but you know if you do not know Jesus and if he if God or Jesus and you know to me they're both the same John God is the father Jesus is the son the Holy Spirit basically is the teacher.
[00:41:11] Some people listening to this don't know that the relationship that these three have and they are all important they're all basically the same even though they're different they serve a different function.
[00:41:26] But John without having God in your marriage I don't believe you truly can love your wife the way that you're meant to love her what are your thoughts on that. I'm going back to what I said because it'll never breach the conditional boundary.
[00:41:46] I can love her and she can love me unconditionally because God is the one who meets our needs and he's already met them.
[00:41:53] Yeah so we're not we're not incomplete we're not missing anything coming into the relationship because we already have a relationship that has made us whole incomplete in him. So now we just get to love each other and enjoy life together grow together we're on this amazing journey together.
[00:42:16] And you know it's different for both of us at different times but I'm here cheerleader she's my cheerleader and listen life we still live we still have to come up again because it's coming up against us so we still have to have an answer for it and we still have a spirit of soul anybody we are spirit we do have a soul to contend with.
[00:42:39] So there are emotions that come into play from time to time frustration we're in this world we're not of it but we are still in this world so when those things raised their head we go right back to our identity.
[00:42:54] And sometimes it may take a minute sometimes it may take a few minutes but instead of there being friction instead of there being competition there's a loving nurturing make you know what.
[00:43:07] You're you're in a you're in a place right now that I know you don't want to be in but you're there or I may be in that place we pray for each other we love on each other even more and we walk through that together but we walk through it.
[00:43:21] Right back to the victory that's in Christ. Yeah, you know John I said they're in thank every single time I see Judy every single time and I haven't seen her whether it's been 10 minutes two hours a day two days we have to go somewhere without each other but.
[00:43:43] I never get tired of saying her smile oh yeah it's just it's just and you understand what the Bible tells us what God's desire truly is and you know when you're married to your best friend. It's just life is just so much better.
[00:44:02] I'm just just so much better John if you would just share. I really don't know how to tell you this but there are people listening John that may not know Jesus.
[00:44:14] If you would take three four five minutes however long you feel is necessary and talk to people about why they should receive Jesus as their Lord and save it.
[00:44:28] Yeah, you know it's funny that you say that because I really only truly understood the why of Christianity about six years ago and I had been in ministry long before that.
[00:44:43] I've been in church all my life had a relationship with the father all my life but it took you know a certain point in my life to actually get to a point of revelation of understanding why Jesus really came.
[00:44:56] It all started out in the garden the Bible itself is really about two men and their actions their works it started out with Adam who will call it first Adam in the garden.
[00:45:08] That was Bendivee and all of mankind began with him regardless of what you may hear we are all tied back to Adam in our lineage in our bloodline.
[00:45:21] Adam made a decision when his wife was deceived and she had fallen from what God had instructed for her in the way that he had desired for her to go she chose another way she was deceived but she still made a choice it was still a free well.
[00:45:40] Adam decided that he would follow her into that because if he hadn't she would have been lost forever.
[00:45:48] Just like Christ came out of the heavens as the first born son of God we as his bride who were in a fallen state agreed and decided to leave his position to come down to be identified with us so that we could then be identified with him at a later date.
[00:46:07] Jesus the second Adam came to undo everything the first Adam had done to mankind since everybody has the root in first Adam every single person on the planet that you've ever met that is ever existed as their bloodline traced back to first Adam and because he was separated from God.
[00:46:29] And we were in him we were born separated from God when he was separated from God he became a child of darkness and Lucifer who fell and became the Satan he became his father.
[00:46:45] And by a consequence because we were all in him in that bloodline we were born into sin we were born into unregis as we were born separated from God.
[00:46:56] The reason why Christianity is not only anything but the thing is the only answer to the dilemma that happened in the garden Jesus came down.
[00:47:07] Being God putting off his godliness came down and became a man without sin which is why he was born of a virgin because he was separated from the first Adam's bloodline that's why he had to be born of a virgin.
[00:47:23] I know you wonder why he's going into all of this but this is the heart of the gospel that Jesus came through a new bloodline. Mary was impregnated by the Holy Spirit the divine seed of God the divine spark of God.
[00:47:43] He was righteous at his birth where we were born in unregisness. He had a new bloodline get the bloodline of the Father God.
[00:47:51] So now we have a choice to escape our lineage in first Adam to die with Christ on the cross to that old life, to that old man and to reborn into this new life that is in Christ the last Adam is Bible calls him.
[00:48:13] That's the only thing that addresses the dilemma of this life. That's why Christianity is the thing that God sacrificed his only son to come down here while we were yet in an unregis state.
[00:48:29] The Bible says sinners and it simply means we were in an unregis condition separated from him.
[00:48:36] And now we have been reunited with him by simply the exercise of our free will and accepting Jesus as the one sacrifice, the only sacrifice that could undo with the first Adam did.
[00:48:51] And now we are partakers of his divine nature. We have been reborn the old man that was in first Adam is dead. I know we have memories of who that person is but they are not our memories.
[00:49:06] That person is dead and has been buried and left in the tomb. Now we are a new creation in Christ as it says in the Gospel, new creation something that never existed before.
[00:49:18] And we're not only human now but we are a divinely human. We are part of the family of God, children of righteousness of the kingdom of his son. We have a citizenry now in the kingdom as sons of God. There's no other religion that answers that question.
[00:49:36] There's nobody else that has ever been able to come forth even qualified to make that sacrifice but God himself in the form of his own son came down here. And died for us so that we could be reborn and reunited with him.
[00:49:52] And we just want you to join the family. The father he simply once was stolen from him back in the garden. We were all his children from the beginning but we were separated from him.
[00:50:06] And now you have the opportunity to be reunited with your family, with your father into a whole new way of living. A wonderful, beautiful, exciting, victorious, more than conqueror, way of life. That's what awaits you, like accepting Christ as your Lord and your Savior.
[00:50:28] So if there's anybody out there hearing this, you may be hearing this for the first time. Heck, you may have been going to church all of your life and you may be hearing this for the very first time. There are pastors that don't know this truth.
[00:50:43] If you're hearing this, this is your time. Now you know why Jesus came. It wasn't just to die for sin.
[00:50:52] He came that he could put to death your old nature and give you his nature so that you could be reunited with him as his child, as his beloved son and daughter.
[00:51:06] So that's what you want. All you simply have to do is make the choice, the decision, your free will choice to accept the sacrifice that Jesus made. Now that you understand what that sacrifice was, why it was necessary.
[00:51:22] Because he's done it. He did it because he loved you. He did it because that's what the father asked him to do and he willingly laid down his life for you.
[00:51:33] So that you could be one with him as God's son. So if you would just say this in your heart, father I thank you and simply by addressing him as father, you're saying something.
[00:51:46] You're now identifying with him as a son or a daughter. Father, I thank you that you brought me to this point in my life where I can have an understanding of what Jesus actually did for me.
[00:52:01] So that I can go into this knowing what awaits me, that I'm leaving one kingdom and entering another. That I'm leaving one family and being reborn and recreated into a brand new family.
[00:52:19] I thank you, father, for making this possible. I accept Jesus as the sacrifice and payment that was necessary to undo everything that was done in the first Adam.
[00:52:31] And I thank you that even now at this very moment, I have become a son or a daughter of God. I am sealed by the Holy Spirit of Pommes for all eternity.
[00:52:44] I am yours, you are my father and I so look forward to the journey from this point on and getting to know you and getting to know who you've made me to be in Jesus name.
[00:52:58] Well John that was so good and I really appreciate everything that you have done with me and for me these last 15 months.
[00:53:08] And if you would John, this is the first step. So please get across to the audience the importance of joining a grace and faith church and talking about being selective but the importance that they have to get into church to solidify what they've just done.
[00:53:28] Sure so now that you know why Jesus came, what you don't know is what all did he pay for. You know when you belong to a family there are benefits and privileges that go along with being a part of that family.
[00:53:43] Right now you have no idea what those are. You have divine rights, you have divine privileges, you have divine promises that God has accomplished and has put aside for you.
[00:53:56] And now you have access to all of those things but you need to know what they are. You need you're in a new kingdom now with a new citizenry.
[00:54:04] You need to know how that operates otherwise you're just going to go back to what you did know your default will be what the old man that you used to be because you're no longer that person anymore.
[00:54:17] You go back to that because that's the only way you've known. That's why God called us to make disciples and not just converts, because discipleship reinforces the truths of the word of God in your life so that you can see what the finished work of Christ actually is every bit of it.
[00:54:36] He has said it table before you and he wants you to partake of every single thing that's on the table. It's your choice but you need to get into like Bill said a grace and faith church.
[00:54:51] I would absolutely recommend checking out Caris Bible College because it is the foremost premier place to learn about the nature of God. And by consequence who you now have become in Christ.
